U.S. President Joe Biden said Wednesday that Israel should not hit Iran’s nuclear program in responding to Tuesday’s ballistic missile attack by the Iranian regime.
On Tuesday, the U.S. and other allies assisted Israel in shooting down most of the 181 ballistic missiles fired by Iran, none of which caused injuries or deaths inside Israel.
However, the missile attack — the second in six months — sent the entire nation of Israel into bomb shelters.
Israel is determined to respond and says that it will do so in a place, time, and manner of its choosing. But the Biden administration, which told Israel to limit its response to the first attack in April, appears to want to restrain Israel again.

So, Biden’s “advice” is to wait until Iran nukes Israel before Israel takes out Iran’s nuclear capabilities. You know, a proportional response. Sheece.
I’m surprised Israel hasn’t done it already, but I think it would take boots on the ground, not just missiles.

By “proportionately,” Biden probably means that Israel should also target 181 ballistic missiles on Israeli targets.
Acting “proportionally” is key to not escalating a conflict, and it’s a noble trait of reasonable nation states that have faced aggression.
However, there is a big difference here.
The majority of countries in the past who have joined the nuclear club did so to maintain a deterrence against aggression.
The big difference is that Iran has proven that they are an aggression, and there are good indications that they will AT THE VERY LEAST leverage a nuclear deterrence capability in order to facilitate being more aggressive with conventional and asymmetric weapons, but MORE LIKELY than anyone else will actually use the nuclear weapons or offer it to their proxies to use.
What that means is, by Israel eliminating Iran’s nuclear capabilities, they are actually DE-ESCALATING or lowering the ceiling on future aggression.
Who would believe Biden (or Harris) could think up the grown-up word “proportionately”?
Idea. Harris could say “As to Israel, at Mcdonalds, and I worked there and as some of you know I grew up in a middle class family, the company gave only what they deemed proportionate amounts of sauce with chicken mcnuggets——there were rules posted on how many sauce packets per size of meal orders. War should follow the same rules.”

Proportionality would benefit Israel’s more populous enemies with bottomless funding from dictator regimes.
A “proportional” war is a contradiction in terms. Fight wars to win, or bug out in surrender. The enemy will not hope to understand the concept of “proportionality”.
This is not a college basketball contest, where the losers congratulate the winners and shake hands afterword.
