Oh, my goodness! It’s been so long since we talked about Mr. Bobcat. If he could run the coyotes off, then I’m sure you’d be grateful. Of course, he’s a predator, too, so.....yeah.
Glad you didn’t stay out long. I’m surprised that there weren’t more limbs down, but thank goodness for small favors. I can’t believe the horrible damage coming out of western N. Carolina! I had thought that the eastern portion would be the target, not the Asheville area! Sheesh!

Happy Friday, lightman...are you catching any rain from Helene?
I can’t wait for Friday to be done...I’ve been fighting “buffering” ALL DAY.
My co-workers are all over the United States, and we’ve all been having issues. I was lucky not to actually loose my internet...2 of them did. I think buffering drives me more crazy than loss of the internet.
1st!!
Mo buffering and only “off and on” drizzle from Helene...about 0.09 total at midnight.
Type of day when you keep your wipers at the lowest “pulse” setting.
So late in the growing season that it makes little difference except for the Brussels Sprouts.
Fight On!--Harold Grayson & His Trojans (1930)
The Eyes of Texas--University of Texas Longhorn Band, with Chorus (1928)
Lights Out March (UC Berkeley)--Arthur Pryor's Band (1913)
2nd!!
3rd!!
Honorable Mention!!
Good evening, Huskrrrr...September has gone by so fast. Enjoy the last few days.
No apologies necessary...there will always be someone who missed one or the other.
Thank you for sharing the tunes you enjoy. ((HUGS))
Andy Williams....shades of long ago music I enjoyed. Thanks, Songcraft. ((HUGS))
Good evening, radu, and thanks for the tunes. ((HUGS))
Hope the wind has finally left you without much damage.
Clever you! :)
I was shocked to see him. I saw glowing eyes in the flashlight beam and thought, “Oh great. Someone’s dumped off another cat.” Then he got up and started moving away and I saw that was no housecat! I thought he was long gone, either moved off or coyote dinner.
He can stay. He’s keeping down some of the little varmints.
I was out there a little while. Can’t walk the whole place in 5 minutes. I really wanted to know how well things stood up to the wind since most of the trees are so old.
Yeah, the mountains really got hammered by Helene, not only on the NC side but the TN side as well. Before that, actually. The front that came through here Tues. and gave me a tiny splash stalled after it got east of here and it rained along the mountains all the way down through GA Wed. and Thurs. before Helene ever made landfall. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg had flash flooding and other areas had the same problem. Helene made it worse when it got up there.
Ryan Hall has a good stream about what was going on in the mountains Wed. and Thurs. Crazy footage of some rivers.
Folks, be sure to support these artists by buying their music and attending their concerts.
Another beautiful day here in Southern Oklahoma. Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
How's everyone doing this morning?
