Paul Pelosi, the husband of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), sold between $500,000 and $1 million worth of Visa stock, according to public records, just weeks before the Justice Department launched a lawsuit against the credit card company on Tuesday.
The finding raises concerns that many members of Congress trade stocks based on information unavailable to the public.
Seventy-six percent of voters believe congressional members and their spouses have an “unfair advantage” in trading stocks.
Paul Pelosi traded the stock before the DOJ launched a probe into Visa for allegedly monopolizing the debit card market, Bloomberg reported. The New York Post reported the trade: Meanwhile, Christopher Josephs, the tech entrepreneur who runs the “Nancy Pelosi Stock Tracker” on X, posted a screenshot of a congressional filing on July 3 which showed that the former House speaker’s husband, Paul Pelosi, had sold 2,000 shares of Visa worth between $500,000 and $1 million.
The disclosure form shows that Pelosi’s transaction is marked “SP,” or spouse — a reference to husband Paul, the San Francisco-based venture capitalist and real estate investor.
At the time Paul Pelosi sold Visa stock, there was no public indication that an antitrust lawsuit against the company was imminent.

America is entering “peak looting stage” on the part of bloated government and its cronies.
No wonder AOC is worth above $40 million. It is way past time to get the leeches and the grifters OUT of DC.
I’m getting so damn sick of these criminals.
Just call him “Paul Buffett.” What a genius financier and trader!
Nancy Pelosi truly believes that she is better than everyone else in the world. She prances around like she is the Queen of all she surveys.
I remember that woman (Leona Hensley?) who was on trial for tax evasion and declared “taxes are for the little people.”
Pelosi has taken that attitude and put it on steroids. She has that persona and it is disgusting.
Martha Stewart, call on line one!..................
paul is a wicked smart stock trader
something he has in common with many
congressional spouses

Will The Botox Queen be sent to Club Fed for a few months?
Membership has its privileges.
Just ask any Senator or Member of Congress.
It’s a great club.
You’re not welcome.
Yes, membership has it privileges. But it’s like the Mob. The last thing the Mob ever wanted were Don’s (like Gotta) who were flamboyant celebs. The Mob wanted to exist in secrecy.
Pelosi is out there flaunting the Club privileges.
you silly conspiracy theorists, paul pelosi is not in congress.
VISA stock was $263 on July 1st, it is $269 today.
Nancy had NOTHING to do with! (/fer sure/ S)
The insider crap aside, how is Visa held responsible for monopolizing the debit card industry. I know nothing about this topic, but aren’t there other cards like MC, AMEX...? Or is this done just to make people like this gazillionaires?
