16 pet cats have suddenly disappeared in Bangor, Maine. No remains were found.
Experts don't believe an animal did this.
Bangor just had an influx of Haitians.

I’d NEVER let mine get wet, but then I’m not wading through THE SWAMP with a cat and a duck, LOL!
I don’t even LIKE cats all that much, but I’ve almost always HAD cats for one reason or another.
That said, my current cats go in and out as they please, though we’re on a farm and miles away from a main road, anyway. One came home injured one night, but it was obviously a bite from another cat. (Easy enough fix; we always have animal meds on hand.)
When I lived in the Burbs, I had a cat that was declawed (he came to me that way!) and I’d put him out in the back yard on a harness/leash. He was STILL able to batch himself a big old Crow that was almost twice his size, even with no claws and on a leash. That was one determined cat! ;)

Also it would seem like too many to blame on ebe (extraterrestrial biological entity) experiments. They usually laser off certain organs and leave the rest.

I’m pretty sure a coyote got him. Even though I live near a busy intersection, a number of pets in the area have been lost to coyotes.

Yes, coyotes are a main predator of cats. I think it’s because they run and hunt in packs making it near impossible for a cat to defend themselves or escape.

There is a pretty good discussion of the ‘practice’ in Wikipedia under ‘cat meat.’ Contrary to what some believe, there is a worldwide culture of cat eaters. The reasons for doing so are varied. To try and stop it, many governments have had to pass laws against it.
I had that same thought today. With the MSM running cover like they are, the situation has become drastically more dangerous not only for peoples pet cats and dogs, but just for the residents in general.
Makes me think of that hobo in King Of the Road.
I didn’t watch TV news to see that CNN and MSNBC have been trashing anyone who spreads “disinformation” against the poor, innocent Haitians.
