Trump once compared Robinson to Martin Luther King, but he didn’t mention him once at a rally in North Carolina on Saturday. Campaigning in Charlotte on Monday, JD Vance fended off questions about the scandal while making it clear that Robinson was on his own.

This was an obvious liberal ploy. Robinson has repeatedly denied it was him, and there is no real evidence that it was. He is reportedly going to sue CNN over this.
The larger question is why the Republican Party keeps putting up black conservatives who routinely underperform in elections. Herschel Walker, Daniel Cameron, Kari Lake, Michael Steele, Alan Keyes, etc. Mark Robinson’s voters are Trump’s voters minus 3-4%, b/c a portion of white working class and rural voters will vote for the Democrat in the governor’s race BEFORE the Ashley Madison stuff came out. In fact, I think having the NC governor’s race be non-competitive will actually HELP Trump, as the Dems will have to push the governor’s race. BTW, the only black conservative who has made it up the ladder is Tim Scott, who was appointed to his position.
Yes, but what if it was his election that changed the balance of the Senate? I guarantee you that if the shoe were on the other foot, the MSM and the democrats would not withdraw support.

A former NC governer, said on the news last night that the blame for this fiasco is on the NC Republican party for failing to do a thorough background check on Robinson. He said the Democrats probably knew of the stuff all along and have waited until now, when it’s too late to bring in a substitute, to publicize the allegations.
Cause it is a badge of honor for dims.
