Fact Check: Tim Walz Claims Reagan Was ‘Last Union Member’ to Be on a ‘National Ticket’
Breitbart ^ | 09/21/2024 | ELIZABETH WEIBEL

CLAIM: Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz claimed that former President Ronald Reagan was the “last union member” to appear on a “national ticket.”

VERDICT: False. Former President Donald Trump was a member of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union.

During a campaign rally in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, Walz spoke about how “the thing that built the middle class” had been the ability to allow people to “collectively bargain and form a union” with their neighbors. Walz added that he had been a union member of Minnesota’s teacher’s union.

Tampon Tim is to Reagan as a dung beetle is to Titan.
News of his death will be answered by farts in his general direction.

Do they represent non-union members too?

I am not union. They’ve done a lot of harm to our nation — consider the public schools.

Hillary Clinton was in the witches’ union, I think. Or perhaps something that rhymed with that.

Isn’t Walz the guy who decided to let BLM terrorize the Twin Cities and not do anything to it?

I gotta believe that Trump had to have been in a union during his TV show days. Not sure, but I wouldn’t be “shocked”.

It’s like denying that democrats were the party of the my klux klan. Or that Lincoln was a Republican
Decades from now if the democrats ever stop promoting the idea that parents should murder their offspring they’ll claim republicans did that. But they’ll be a memory.
Did he mention that Reagan was running as a Republican, he said the Dem party left him

Reagan also was once a Democrat but he said he changed to Republican when the Democrat Party left him.

A foolish claim on the part of Mister Walz, however that said...

... let's talk about valor and how those who STEAL it betray a total lack of responsibility, honesty, respect for those who wore our uniform and DID carry a rifle in combat, and the low opinion of those who they seek to deceive.

Walz is also the governor who ordered Minnesota National Guard and area LE troops to open fire on neighborhoods where residents had simply gone outside their homes during the fake / election stealing "pandemic" in 2020, as well.

He's an evil little homosexual pedophile.

Walz is the governor who has agreed to be on a ticket where the presidential candidate was born of two parents who were not naturalized citizens at the time of the presidential candidate's birth. This candidate does not meet Article 2 Sec. 1 of the US Constitution defining eligibility requirements for president. He knows this full well - as did Joseph Robinette Biden in 2019

Do democrats have an issue finding American citizens to run on national tickets for president?

Wasn’t Michael Dukakis a proud member of the ACLU? It’s not a union in the normal sense of the word but it does have “Union” in its name.

Ronbo not only was a union member, he was 7 times President of the Screen Actors Guild.

Jack Kemp. Bob Dole’s running mate in 1996. 5 times President of AFL Players Union.

Didn’t know the Donald was a union member (SAG-AFTRA), but it makes sense.

Well, quite a few of them have never done any kind of work outside of politics, and the others were businessmen or lawyers, so there is little chance they would have been in a union. Walz probably wouldn’t have been in a union either if he hadn’t been a teacher. Considering the malignancy most teachers’ unions are, that is nothing to be proud of.

Ronald Reagan.
During his first tenure as the Screen Actors Guild president, Reagan was lauded within the industry when he helped secure the first residual payments for television actors.

With movie attendance plummeting and films increasingly aired on television, film actors also wanted residuals. They faced strong opposition from the movie studios.

In 1959, after negotiations ground to a halt, Reagan was asked to return as SAG president. He called for a strike in February 1960.

Actors walked off sets in March, joining the Writers Guild of America, which had been on strike since early January 1960. The actors’ strike lasted six weeks.

Reagan ultimately won an agreement that residuals would be paid to actors for films produced from 1960. He also won a lump sum payment for the union of $2.65 million, used to create SAG’s first pension and health plan for members.

Reagan was cheered by SAG members when the deal was ratified. It was approved by an overwhelming majority of members.

Donald Trump Still Collects Six-Figure Pension from SAG-AFTRA
April 15, 2023
“according to financial disclosure forms he released late Friday, Trump took a pension from SAG valued at “between $100,000-$1 million in 2022” and a pension from AFTRA “valued at between $15,000-$50,000.” These pensions predate the merger of the two groups in 1992.”

"Teacher's Union"?  Yeah, a tough guy—just like a steelworker, teamster, or coal miner.

In reality, Walz is a fat sweaty p****.
