New Mexico’s governor blasts Texas for placing razor wire on border between their states

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is not happy that the Texas National Guard has been installing razor wire along the Rio Grande river – facing her state.

Nexstar’s KTSM captured video showing troops putting up concertina wire and fencing on the riverbank in the El Paso, Texas, area Tuesday afternoon. The expansion came three days after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott posted on X that the state would triple its razor wire border barriers to “deny illegal entry into our state and our country.”

“Gov. Abbott seems to be pushing to make Texas its own country without regard for his neighbors or the fact that Texas is already part of a great nation—the United States,” said Grisham in a statement. “If he doesn’t think that New Mexico is important to the overall well-being of Texas, then he must be forgetting about the Permian Basin and the oil industry that straddles our two states. I don’t see him laying concertina wire there.”

This is not the first time Texas has acted on concern that illegal smuggling activity going on in New Mexico would spill into Texas. Earlier this year, the state extended its barrier at a spot where the river stops running parallel to Mexico and turns north into New Mexico.

This is razor wire being installed on the border between Texas and New Mexico. I'm beginning to think our nation IS headed towards a civil war.

She’s the one that banned guns and law enforcement told her to go to Hell. She had been sulking in her snakehole playing with her cosmetics since then.

If the Ho & Tampon Tim get elected, we’ll be moving to Texas and voting to secede. We’re already looking at some really nice houses. Texas will have to put up barbed wire on all borders to keep the loathsome liberals (but I repeat myself) from coming down and joining the Austin dolts in the hope of doing to Texas what they did to CA and CO. Those already here will leave because...well...they’ll leave. Or else.

New Mexico is one of those states that should have Razor wire placed around the entire state. For the good of the rest of the country.

First step in a giant wall around Travis County.

The expulsion of Katrina trash (thanks, Bush) from Houston should make it habitable again.

Pretty much just Sante Fe and Albuquerque.

The rest of the state would be OK.

Nope. Let the Dims be the ones to secede. Again. The last time they seceded it was under the mantra, "It's not a person. It's property." This time it'll be "It's not a person. It's a clump of cells."

She’s on the cartel payroll. Keeps the border wide open.

Many years ago I had a girlfriend from El Paso and I spent time there. For those who don’t know, the Texas-New Mexico-Mexico border gets very complex to say the least. As you travel north from El Paso it can be difficult to know where the state line actually is. Even the Texas-Mexico border gets kind of strange.

How many residents of New Mexico travel into or out-of Texas via the Rio Grande in El Paso.
Is it common for NM citizens to swim into Texas and not use any bridges.

I hope Florida decides to leave, too, if that happens. Otherwise, they are still subject to US (Communist) jurisdiction.

They should start by placing razor wire around the Square in Santa Fe.

It’s on TX land.

None of NM’s business.

I believe we probably have a couple southwestern governors on the cartel’s payroll. Along with several mayors, county commissioners, and other public representatives.

I did basic training at Fort Bliss in 1966 and first week we were ordered to not enter Mexico because two soldiers were murdered there. Viet Nam was soon after there.
