The Republican mayor of an Ohio city that has been the target of unfounded claims from former President Donald Trump and his running mate about Haitian immigrants eating residents’ pets said Tuesday that a visit from the Republican presidential nominee would strain the city's resources.
“It would be an extreme strain on our resources. So it’d be fine with me if they decided not to make that visit,” Springfield Mayor Rob Rue said during a news conference at City Hall on Tuesday.
Officials in Springfield have said the allegations were meritless, with city police issuing a statement that said there were “no credible reports” of pets being harmed by Haitian immigrants.

Apparently, that type of data is being hidden from the tax paying citizens.
Not only are the good/honest tax paying citizens getting the shaft from higher taxes, the higher prices for insurance rates are hitting hard.
Increases in Insurance claims most often result in higher rates/prices for all citizens.
A strain on resources? If the town can suddenly support 33% more mouths to feed, apparently the mayor thinks it can spare the resources. His brain doesn’t count as a resource, since it’s not.
