Putin warns NATO will be ‘at war with Russia’ if it allows Ukraine to use Western long-range missiles against it

Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters Thursday that allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike inside Russia would be seen by Moscow as NATO’s direct entry into the war.

“This will mean that NATO countries – the United States and European countries – are at war with Russia. And if this is the case, then, bearing in mind the change in the essence of the conflict, we will make appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us,” he said.

According to the Russian president, “the Ukrainian army is not capable of using cutting-edge high-precision long-range systems supplied by the West” without Western assistance in targeting.

The United States already does provide intelligence to Ukraine, and has previously assisted in the targeting

But it’s OK for North Korea and Iran to supply Russia with drones & missiles to attack Ukraine

Putin’s laughable 2 sets of rules - one for Russia, one for everyone else

You tough-guy blowhards just don’t get it.

Russia and China have already checked the US MIC and deep-state. There will be no more uncontested invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, etc. etc.

Every move the USA makes from now on will face a heavily armed proxy.

Its why Ukraine is an existential crisis for the DC blob. They are caught on a barb and there’s no way off.

Just enough war to justify cancelling elections maybe?

Lots of barbs on which to hang. One watches the numbers rise precipitously.

Yep, teeing up an attack on the US homeland to happen before the election. No, I don’t have a crystal ball but I’m not dumb and blind either.

You tough talking (to me) guys who whimper in fear in front of Putins threats make us all in the West weaker.
You allow Putins threats to guide your daily decisions about what the West should do and who we should help?
Should the West check.in with Putin for approval before we make any foreign policy decisions to help our friends?
Russia is still due payback for helping North Korea against us in the Early 50s and Vietnam after that.
Wallow in your weakness. Maybe after you let Putin take whatever he wants he will spate you for helping carry his water.
I doubt it.

Most al of the comments above are stupid. There is no bluffing when Russian people are being killed by long range missiles from Kiev provided by NATO. Russia will respond with Tactical nuclear weapons to take out Kiev and those missile sites. The gloves are off when that shit happens deep inside Russia. What is NATO going to do next with their thumb up their ass?

If Mrs. Doug Emhoff is elected, we can be sure that we’ll be dying so wealthy Ukrainian oligarchs can buy an extra cottage on a Carribbean Island.

Putin says he’s warned NATO for he millionth time to not let Ukraine get its hands on long-range missiles, or else.

Now he’s saying that if he has to warn NATO about the same thing a billionth time, he’s going to declare war on NATO.

Putin says that, he’s not a paper-tiger and doesn’t want to warn NATO a trillion times, or else.

Putin is running out of numbers to use for warning NATO about joining the war or providing Ukraine with long-range missiles. Putin is a paper-tiger, and and idiot to boot.

Go head, Puiin; make NATO’s day!

Yeah, right! Russia cannot handle Ukraine and it is going to go after all of NATO? Even Putin is not that stupid.

If Russia does not want its cities to be bombed it should stop bombing Ukrainian cities. Does Putin really think that was is a one-way action?

Again? How many times is that this year? This is so moldy it is growing penicillin.

Every time the US and Europe has provided new weapons the Russian response is to threaten conventional or nuclear war with NATO. The western weapons arrive, start killing Russian soldiers and destroying Russian equipment in numbers so large it has made everyone question the Russian military's real capabilities and problems.

After a week or so, Russia state news makes excuses that western aid is having no effect at all, starts making claims several times the number of new weapons deployed have been destroyed than are present, and they are really winning. This is spread by Russian online trolls, laundered through friendly sites, and spammed all over the internet. Nothing drowns our old false claims and predictions spammed online like making claims and predictions and spamming them. Next, Russian state news stops protesting about the new aid in specific and goes back to protesting western aid for Ukraine in general. The online trolls follow along. Until new aid to Ukraine is about to arrive, then Russian PR cycle starts all over again.

After two years, the US and NATO are waiting for Russia to deliver on two promises. The first is to make good on its threats. The second is to actually decisively win like they say they are. Taking eighteen months to capture a few tens of square miles in a few places along a six hundred mile-long front, without capitalizing on those gains, is not decisive. It never has been.

On the first night of their sneak attack . . . uuuh . . . Russia launched long-range missiles into Ukraine taking out numerous apartment buildings and killing many civilians including sleeping children. It s the old socialist "We can do it and you can't" routine being played out today in the American election.

Does Putin really think that was is a one-way action?

He probably thought that the US was being run by intelligent and considerate people who wouldn't think of taking an active military role against his country, knowing quite well that they would be pushing him into a corner.

The poor guy probably just figured out that he was the only adult in the room.
