I live in a suburban development where there are a lot of deer roaming about. I don’t have a problem with deer hunting, but I can understand how people would be upset to see their neighborhood turned into a hunting ground. People become attached to the local deer roaming in their communities. It’s part of why people choose to live in such areas.

I don’t have a problem with deer hunting...

They allow urban archery deer hunting in my college town. One of the areas where it is allowed is adjacent to my backyard. It's like having a private hunting grounds, and I eat the deer I kill.

But what this clown did is not deer hunting. It's deer killing for amusement and wasting good venison.

Yes, this IS senseless slaughter - but he could’ve been shooting up kids at his old High School - he hasn’t been out all that long, and he’s obviously sick in the head!

We hunt and fish - and we, too, EAT what we kill. I would NEVER kill an animal just for ‘sport.’

Exactly. God gave us dominion over the beasts and fishes to be faithful stewards over His creation. Harvesting venison for your family is wise stewardship. Killing deer and leaving their corpses to rot is sinful waste of God's gifts to us.

I agree leaving carcasses laying around is not right. But I am having a hard time being upset about killing urban deer and geese. They are a health hazard and safety hazard. I have even been in areas where turkeys were a safety hazard and should have been harvested.
