Hear! Hear!! We must preserve our history!!
Good evening, luvie...we must never forget this horror. Thanks!
Howdy, Kathy.
Everything go smoothly today? A chance for an early bedtime?
I know that you and I and most FReepers definitely won’t forget!
Such a beautiful tribute to our fallen.
Good evening, Fling...it is so important that this history is remembered.
The thing today seems to be NO history at all.
Howdy, luvie.
I hope you had a good day after a long night’s sleep.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
How's everyone doing this morning?
Hey there, radu!
It was a good day. It never got too hot and right now it feels wonderful at 73! I’m sleepy though, because I don’t get my nap on Wednesdays. Much longer and my pillow will be my laptop keyboard. LOL. I did sleep good last night.
Hope your day went well. Did you get some mowing done. Hope you can do it before remnants of Francine get to ya. She’s a beast. For now.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like Gizmo found more than one smelly spot to roll in yesterday. LOL He looked quite pleased with your outing at Wichita Ridge.
Yesterday while I was out getting our supper Sonic, Giz apparently dug himself out of the yard. Thankfully he didn't go very far. I found him at a neighbor's place and brought him back in.
I put a toolbox and some tree branches in front of the gate so he can't get out. Dogs can't move those kinds of objects.
Our neighbors to the East have a fence for their dogs too. The problem is some of those dogs are little and have a want sometimes to move through those openings and escape.
Oh, those dogs sure love to play Houdini.
Glad to hear your nice temps are holding on for now.
Nice that you finally managed to get a good night’s sleep since you didn’t get a nap this afternoon. Good timing! LOL
No more mowing until Champ is fixed. Hubby’s cousin wasn’t correct that only new blades were needed, though new ones were definitely in order. Just waiting for him to have a chance to load Champ up and take him in.
Yep, it’s going to be a soggy few days ahead. The rain is about to cross the AL/TN state line just below here. Just a nice kiss of a breeze outside at the moment but it’ll be very windy by the time I wake up.
It was a good enough day, I suppose. I went to a candlelight vigil tonight for a good friend’s grandson who was killed by a speeding driver Sat. night. That’s why I was late getting here. They had a short, very nice service, then everyone stuck around on the football field chatting.
Bad Gizmo, sneaking out like that. Good that he didn’t go out in the road and get hurt.
Dogs are stinkers about digging under fences to slip out, that’s for sure. :-)
Holding till Friday. 99 then, 97 on Saturday and 95 on Sunday. Then, thank goodness, it’ll gradually go back down. But....99? Where the heck does that even come from! I’m definitely not looking forward to it.
Well, rats. I was hoping that Champ’s flu was about over and he’d be back to doing his job. I hope it’s not horribly expensive, whatever it is.
May your friend’s grandson Rest In Peace. So sad to lose someone so young and full of promise. He will leave a hole in so many hearts. ๐ข
At least it will be a brief hot spell and not a long stretch this time. With luck, it’ll be the last hot spell.
They revised our forecast to mid 70s the next few days. Then by this time next week, we’ll be close to 90 again.
I really didn’t think new blades would cure Champ’s shaking. It was just too rough. But Cuz couldn’t see anything damaged or bent when he looked it over last week. Something obviously is though. I did get the yard at the old house mowed but I was pushing my luck.
I hope it isn’t real expensive too! It wasn’t bad the last time but I don’t know what’s going on under there this time.
Yes, there’s a hole in a lot of hearts with his loss. He had so much going for him and had a bright future. He was also a joy to be around.
Good evening, radu...is rain on the way from Francine?
Gentle rain here all day. The street has never dried completely....
Good morning, Dick Bachert....it IS fascinating for sure.
Thanks for the post.
Good morning, E...((HUGS)...,Gizmo sure had a good time at Wichita Ridge.
You guys have a great Thursday.
My eyes are burning so bad. I think I’ll shut this down and close them Hopefully to sleep.
Talk tomorrow! Your 70s sound really good right now. It’s going to be warmer in the area that our son lives in than here. Which makes sense since it’s further south.
