Interestingly, this policy goes back 40+ years in some states. This isn’t a “transgender” dude pretending to be a girl. He’s a regular guy who just wants to play field hockey … and many states have laws that allow boys and girls to play on high school teams with the opposite sex it the school doesn’t have a sports team for their own sex.

Schools would probably run afoul of federal civil rights law if the DIDN’T allow this.

My granddaughter plays on her varsity volleyball team. Yesterday they played a team with a boy. He wasn’t any bigger than any of the girls and wasn’t much of a player. I can’t figure out why a high school boy would want to be the only male on a girl’s team. He was a seemingly masculine boy.
