A bombshell report has found that Germany could have been more effective at reducing its carbon footprint while saving hundreds of billions of euros if it had invested in nuclear power rather than green energy projects.
Leftist-run governments in Europe’s top economic powerhouse made a devastating error by transitioning away from nuclear power and focussing instead on so-called “renewable” sources of energy like wind and solar, industrial engineer Jan Emblemsvåg of the University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway has said according to German daily Welt.
While nuclear energy accounted for around 30 per cent of Germany’s electricity in the year 2000, just over two decades later in 2022, the country, under the direction of the leftist Social Democrats (SPD) and the Greens, shut down its last nuclear power plant.

The left has terrible ideas in regards to almost everything.
The left doesn’t care. It’s the fence sitters. They don’t know and informing them puts them to work, another task.
The issue is never the issue.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...before long, EU countries, lead by Germany, will ask Russia to deliver gas via Nordstream. I believe there is one line available.
BTTT
How’s Nordstream doing?
One line is still available...see the link I just posted...near the end.
The least polluting nations in Europe relative to electrical generation are Norway and France.
Norway gets 88% of its electricity from Hydro Power thanks to being blessed with mountains and lakes due to terrain and climate.
France gets 70% of its electrical power from nuclear plants.
Hydro is good and the cheapest source of power. In California they are tearing dams down. They are idiots.
Nuclear is good as demonstrated by France. They are not idiots.
Germany and England have a massive program for wind generated power. Their electricity is very costly. They are idiots.
Trump did a great job of hammering this last night in the debate. He fussed at Dims for blocking our pipelines while the Dims supported pipelines that made Russia richer and have more control over the EU.
Germany’s national suicide began under Merkel, who needed the support of the Green party to form a government. The price was a green party extremist as the minister of energy, and it was he who essentially coerced her into the insane “Energiewende” program of economic self-destruction. Her successor has just played out the hand.
No surprise here....a natural consequence of drinking the GREEN cool-aide.
But increased submission, so 100% success!!!
Green is where all the communists went after the fall of the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact.
“Hydro is good and the cheapest source of power. In California they are tearing dams down. They are idiots.”
The native Americans demanded the dams be removed in Cali since they were build on their lands without their permissions. At least state the facts it was not to take away power capacity. The dams removed also were only 150 megawatts worth of capacity less than 2% of the local grids power another fact. A single GE gas turbine has the same output and a combined cycle has single turbine has double that output.

Flood control and irrigation was the primary reason those dams were built power was an after thought. The flood issue still remains but here again the indigenous peoples wanted the dams removed and won the legal battle to do such.
Norway gets 98% of its power form Hydro and wind with wind only being 10% of the total...I would not call Hydro cheap the retail power costs in Norway are 20+ euro cents per kWh that’s $200+ euro per megawatt hour... Nukes can put out $50 megawatt hour retail power costs 24/7/365 that’s four times cheaper. At the plant gate nukes can hit $25 per MWh, CANDU natural uranium reactors can hit $18 and they turn weapons grade materials into electricity, desal water, and district heating/cooling forever destroying that PU in the process.
