On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Israel’s Ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon responded to President Joe Biden criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by alleging Netanyahu hasn’t done enough to get a ceasefire by stating that “we expect our ally, the U.S., to say, very clearly, Hamas is to be blamed for the fact we don’t have a deal today” in the wake of Hamas killing multiple Israeli hostages and an American hostage.
Danon said, “[I]t’s very simple, the blame is on Hamas, period. You cannot blame Netanyahu or the Israelis. Hamas always say[s] no. In May, President Biden put a deal on the table. We said yes, Hamas said no. In August, the same happened. So, blaming us the day that we are grieving after the brutal execution of six young Israelis, including the American boy, think about that, he was in captivity for almost 11 months, tortured, he was wounded, and he was executed.”

None of us really know what’s going on with the deals or what the expectations are so some of this is just PR. If your main concern is votes in Michigan you have to walk one way more than the other.
We know at a bare minimum that Hamas wants a complete withdrawal, and we know Israel wants to keep military control of the Gaza border with Egypt and maybe a strip of land dividing north from south to prevent smuggling of weapons.
But they are also both likely asking for other things from various 3rd parties. Gaza will need to be rebuilt, but who will pay for that and who will pay for that if they think it will just get destroyed again in 5 or 15 years. These 3rd parties will want assurances from both sides, which are contingent on many factors.
I don’t see how Israel will go back to Oct 6th, they will want to prevent all smuggling and tunneling from Egypt. The Palestinians always seem to want to negotiate with everyone but Israel. That won’t solve their problems.
Thinking about the election today - we'll be lucky if there is one where anyone's vote counts! Dems don't want voter ID because of course their margin of cheating would be greatly affected......I just think they know they don't really need voters to win an election - it just has to look like an election..... No wonder Harris and Biden both don,t answer questions nor really doing much but holding cheer-leading sessions.
