Jaguar has issued an urgent warning to motorists of certain models to park away from structures over fears the cars could catch on fire.
The British brand has issued a voluntary recall notice for certain 2019 Jaguar I-Pace vehicles in the United States, according to the documents from the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

When 007 had a Jaguar, I wanted one. Never bought one, it’s probably as well I didn’t.

Despite what people think about Tesla, at least they've figured out how to minimize battery fires given their huge experience dealing with large battery packs.
If I had the money I would seriously consider the current Tesla Model 3, despite my reservations about the current steering wheel design.

Interesting, I recently saw a video of a car mechanic saying he had researched his repair records to find the cars that had the highest incidence of problems. Jaguar was No. 1. Range Rover came in 2nd.

Their quality control on the battery cells and packs is why.
For any of these, though, it doesn’t take much to start them on fire in a crash.

AND a 1979 Buick wagon with over 223,ooo miles.

RE: for safety keep it outside....
I might add for my EV crazy neighbors:
And not next to my car and my home where I sleep at night.
Stay away. Far away.
Articles on the long process of firefighters versus EV fires say that, after putting it out and towing it to a lot, the fire often rekindles.
