Ukraine’s daring offensive intensifies pressure on US to ease cautious approach to the war

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ukraine’s daring ground offensive has taken the fight to Russia, but not nearly as much as its leaders would like because, they say, the United States won’t let them.

The U.S. restricts the use of long-range ballistic missiles it provides to Ukraine, which wants to aim them at military targets inside Russia. Ukraine’s offensive, along with a barrage of drones and missiles that Moscow launched this week, has intensified pressure on the Biden administration to ease its cautious approach to the use of Western weapons in escalating Ukrainian attacks.

The Biden administration says its careful deliberations, including which advanced weapons it supplies to Ukraine and when, are necessary to avoid provoking retaliation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Some analysts agree Putin would take a Ukrainian strike by an American long-range ballistic missile as an attack by the U.S. itself.

But other American and European supporters of Ukraine say the White House should see that Putin’s threats of attacking the West, including with nuclear weapons, are bluster. Their fear is the U.S. support that has allowed Ukraine to withstand Russia’s 2022 invasion comes with delays and caveats that could ultimately contribute to its defeat.

“This war is going to end exactly how Western policymakers decide it will end,’' said Philip Breedlove, a retired U.S. general who led NATO in Europe from 2013 to 2016 and is among the retired U.S. military leaders and diplomats, Republican lawmakers, security analysts and others pushing for a loosening of restrictions on how Ukraine uses Western-provided weapons.

The real villains, aside from Putin and his communist stooges in Russia and the West, are the folks in the Washington and Berlin Uniparty - Biden, Jake Sullivan, Blinken - who have worked to cripple Ukraine with this appeasement redux they call "Escalation Management." This is the same failed rules of engagement crap that our brilliant leaders inflicted in Afghanistan and Vietnam.

Condensed Timeline of the Ukraine War:

January 2022: Putin says that he will not invade Ukraine.

February 2022: Putin invades Ukraine.

March 2022: Pooters blame Ukraine for the bloodshed, because the Ukrainians did not politely surrender their capital city to the Russians.

Same nonsense they are doing with Israel.

The folks here who hate Ukraine think Biden and the liberal West are WW3 warmongers.

In reality they are incompetent hacks, and in the end they always put America in retreat.

That said, I don’t think Ukraine should be allowed to launch missiles deep into Russia.

let’s just hope Trump is elected and ends this war, one way or another.

Russia is currently bombing their supplies lines after massive attacks against Ukraine infrastructure the last two days. Nobody wins except the Military Industrial complex who is bathing in blood of thousands upon thousands of young men and women on both sides. This same complex is donating to the campaigns of many politicians on both sides (Harris getting the most I assume because that is where they will continue to make the most money killing people).

This isn’t our war and it isn’t in our interests. The globalists may like it, but the American people are done with it.

Tough titties for Ukraine. Poland is done and so is Germany.

Time to call it quits.

In case you haven’t noticed, a lot of military warehouses, a few depots, defense industrial complexes have caught fire in the last year or so. Yes, they are also sending a message: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/investigations/russias-brazen-intensifying-sabotage-campaign-europe-rcna147178

Also, in case you didn’t notice, Germany and Poland are well in range of even conventional missiles: https://missilethreat.csis.org/country_tax/russia/

And if all else fails, there are nuclear games we could play: https://www.armscontrol.org/factsheets/nuclear-weapons-who-has-what-glance

No, you do not want this to escalate.

Those talking like you do are assuming we can act with impunity. Which is what got us in this war in the first place. We’re just going to do whatever we want and expand NATO into Ukraine regardless of what we promised or Russian objections.

Still haven’t figured it out? Russia isn’t some Middle East, African or Caribbean regime we can just kick around as we please. They can push back, militarily, economically, politically. They aren’t our equal, but they also aren’t defenseless against us.

“Ukraine offensive…has put pressure on the Biden administration…”

In AP’s dreams. The “Biden administration” is essentially inoperative. Biden himself is incommunicado for the next few months; the flunkies keeping the lights on have no clue. The US government is leaderless and aimless, a derelict vessel drifting onto the rocks. Only toxic reptiles like Chuck Schumer remain, seeking their own grisly goals, which have no relation to the interests of the US.

The reason Trump may well end this war if elected, is that Trump understands what all the ‘professionals’ fail to realize: these guys are not “national leaders” in any meaningful sense of the word. They are basically gangsters, not unlike the thugs he had to deal with in the NYC government and unions. He gets them in a way the State Department idiots will never get.

Zeeper, I think the villains are the commie-pinko-fags overthrowing democracies, putting hand picked authoritarian puppets in Presidential positions, provoking wars with nuclear powers on my family’s dime. These are the same people opening our borders, grooming and mutilating our children, stealing our elections, and putting our friends in gulags.

The reason Trump may well end this war if elected

Trump is going to realize that, an ongoing war is very hard to stop. He probably knows that nor, but has to posture as the one to end it. But, we hav3e to believe that there is something that Trump knows that the world doesn't. There will be no magic solution, not from Trump and not from anybody else.

No matter, I do believe that the war will end soon after Trump gets elected, because, Russia will not be getting the oil revenue that they've been getting the last 4 years, and oil is the golden egg that's been fueling the Russian military machine. No golden egg, no military prowess.

With the hostilities winding down, Russia and Ukraine will end up winners, because, nobody will be dying and all sides can rebuild and live in (relative) peace.

Counterpoint: Russia is a basket-case: economically, culturally, militarily and politically. Upper Volta with nukes. If the US were ever drawn into a conventional war with Russia, and I hope we aren’t, they wouldn’t last an hour.

Show me a credible source where their GDP is shrinking, the Ruble imploded, their unemployment is high, or national debt is anything near ours as a percent of GDP?

Fantastical stories, grandiose predictions, are not economic empirical measures and NOTHING is in step with what our western MSM said would happen.

Just because you wish and say things are a certain way, doesn’t make it so.
