In his first interview since dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing former President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped a bombshell about the 1963 assassination of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy.

RFK Jr. told Carlson that Mike Pompeo — Trump’s former CIA director — had “begged” the 45th president not to declassify the CIA files concerning the assassination of his uncle.
Pompeo later went on to become Trump’s secretary of state.
According to Kennedy, this cover-up was ostensibly done to hide the agency’s involvement in the JFK murder plot.

RFK Jr: “I was astonished that Trump didn’t declassify them because he promised to during the [2016] campaign.”
Carlson interjected: “That was Mike Pompeo who did that.”
Kennedy: “Yeah. I talked to President Trump for the first time about that this week. He said that Mike Pompeo begged him to. … He said that Mike Pompeo called him and said, ‘This would be a catastrophe to release these. You need to not do it.'”
Carlson: “I want to say again that I think that Mike Pompeo is a criminal. So that’s my view. He’s threatened to sue me for saying that. But I hope he will, because it’s true.”

You forgot the trigger man that assigned the shooter, the people responsible for stopping communication in D.C. at the time, the bullets in the windshield, the pulling out of all federal and local enforcement in Dealey Square...the term others is far reaching. And the funny thing is, everyone who was involved is dead. So what’s the big deal except it will cause a riff with trust in the federal law enforcement and politicians that already have a negative rating? In thinking about it I can observe that Lee Oswald did act alone. He was only one in the area that wasn’t involved.

Unlike more recent CIA outrages, which some on the left or right may cheer, depending on their political view - JFK's assassination is a mystery which touches the memory and elicits the same concern among every American, whether right and left. So its a universal political touchstone.
Also, the implication is that the CIA has been corrupt literally FOR ITS ENTIRE EXISTENCE.
He was about a month from being born when JFK was assassinated.
Disclosure would have been a "catastrophe" for the CIA he was directing at the time but not necessarily for the country. Deep Staters tend to get the interests of the country and the interests of the government agencies confused. They are seldom one and the same.
