Pope Francis gave new meaning to the old term “Catholic guilt” on Wednesday when he said that refusing to aid the multitudes of migrants who are streaming into Europe was a “grave sin.” Refusing to become an open-borders globalist leftist takes its place among pride (well, that one is borderline these days, too), anger, lust, sloth, and the rest.
Will Catholics who fought in earlier ages to preserve the cultural and spiritual heritage of Europe now get sentenced to hell retroactively for not opening their doors to the invaders? About that, the pontiff was mum, but if you don’t favor mass migration into the West now, you’re treading on dangerous ground as far as the Roman Catholic Church is concerned.
Reuters reported that Pope Francis on Wednesday “strongly decried the treatment of migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea to enter Europe.” The pope lamented, "There are those who work systematically and with every means to reject migrants. And this, when done with conscience and responsibility, is a grave sin." The solution to this evil, he said, would be "global governance of migration based on justice, brotherhood and solidarity." Yeah, that would fix everything.
However wrongheaded and ill-considered the pope’s stance on migration may be, one thing you can say about him is that he’s consistent. Back in May, he insisted that “migration is something that makes a country grow,” and he was right: look at how the ranks of criminals, people on welfare, and the homeless have grown since Old Joe Biden, Border Czar Kamala Harris, and their henchmen decided to erase the Southern border.
Pope Francis, however, wasn’t hearing any of that. As if to forestall such talk, he decried historical stereotypes about migrants: “They say that you Irish migrated and brought the whiskey …

Never listen to a fool
He says from his Swiss guarded safety.
This from a Pope who comes from a nation that now is more European than Europe.
OK Frank, make the Vatican a sanctuary city and take them all in.
Awhile back I did a calculation. Based on its size, Vatican City can easily take in 1500 “refugees”. Easily! Pushing it to 2000 or even 3000 wouldn’t be out of the question.
There is room in the Vatican Gardens to build high-rise apartments to house them all. And the best part is that the Church has the money to do all of this.
So why then do the Swiss Guards push everyone out at closing time?
Could it be that the Pope is a filthy hypocrite? 🤔
Yet he still has not insisted that his home nation Argentina open their borders to the “migrants”......
I was a regular mass goer all my life- even on vacation i would find a Catholic church and go to mass. That stopped about 4 years ago thanks to the never ending hypocrisy of this POS....so concerned was our Monsignor that he called and left a message at our home just last week.
I will NOT go to mass while this guy is in charge and i will NOT support his hypocrisy... And before the haters chime in and lecture- i pray every day.
> And before the haters chime in and lecture… <
If any do, they are wrong. You are making a clear distinction between the Catholic Church and the church leadership.
We can expect church leaders to be imperfect. But unfortunately, Francis and much of the hierarchy have gone way beyond being “imperfect”. It is reasonable to shun such men, and just let the Gospels be your guide.
Why can’t a person be encouraged to stay in their own country and make it better? I thought the saying was ‘The Lord helps those who helps themselves’.
Religion is not his thing. Marxist edicts is his thing.
Sorry, this Pope is a dope.
As a heretic and minion of Satan, Bergoglio continues on his mission to destroy the Church.
Perhaps. Just perhaps. Letting in waves of migrants that do not share your values and culture is not a good thing.
dope francis...
Works for me
He should also give up the Swiss Guard
There’s room in the Vatican. What’s he afraid of? That the “migrants” will steal the treasures and that they’ll rape the nuns??
Not going to Mass hurts you more than Pope Francis. And it hurts Jesus. He still wants your time and friendship regardless of how you feel about Francis. Keep up with the sacraments. But don’t give any money that would end up helping the Vatican. Fund the food pantry or the pregnancy help center or something.
He gets my time every day when i pray....i don’t need to go to a church headed by Pope Frankie to be closer to Christ
NOT the Pope. POS evil squatting in the seat, NOT the valid Pope.
