Donald Trump vowed to release the remaining files on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy if he is elected president for a second term.
The ex-president previously said he would declassify the documents, but was urged not to by one of his senior cabinet members, according to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
It now seems that Trump had a change of heart after an assassin made a failed attempt on his life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot Trump's right ear. He was taken out by the Secret Service, but not before he killed a supporter and critically injured two others in the crowd that day.
Like the murder of Kennedy's uncle, conspiracy theories are on the rise claiming that Crooks did not act alone and may have been involved with a foreign entity like Iran or Pakistan.

I remember at the time there were posters here who claimed there wasn't anything relevant left to disclose but it might harm those named. Shouldn't they all be dead by now?

We'll get the FBI report on the Trump assassination attempt after we get the JFK report, so in about 100 years.
Pompeo wanted to be POTUS and he looks at things that way.
this isnt about who killed Kennedy. It’s about who killed revealing the details when Trump had said he would do it.
I would have said lindsey graham but Pompeo is as likely a suspect. Don’t need him back.
Pompeo, Secretary of State is the guy who counseled “silence”.
Some folks here do not agree with me—but I am convinced that Mossad was involved as one player in the JFK assassination plot because of the issue of nuclear non-proliferation advocated by JFK. JFK was absolutely determined to stop Israel from becoming a nuclear power.
I have posted at length on this topic elsewhere.
Even if the files did not have definitive proof of Mossad involvement and only had proof of foreknowledge that would be diplomatic dynamite.

If it would help trump it would be pretty neat if he leaked some of the details.
I suppose that theory would be damaging if revealed.
however, I don’t believe that is the reason for keeping it secret.
Dems would have leaked it themselves if true.

I hope this news ends any of the support I’ve seen here on FR for that duplicitous A-hole.
