Former President Donald Trump and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp have appeared to put their differences aside and recover from their recent spat, with both Republicans voicing support for each other following the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
“We need to send Donald Trump back to the White House,” Kemp told Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Thursday evening:
Trump gave Kemp a shout-out in return in a Truth Social post:
Thank you to #BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country.
I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
The governor’s endorsement came as a surprise to some viewers as Trump called him “disloyal” and “very bad for the Republican Party” at an early August campaign rally:

If I were Trump, I’d trust Kemp about as much as Caesar should have trusted Brutus.
This was predictable due to political necessity. There are times when politics is uncomfortably reminiscent of professional wrestling.
One day after an “impartial” analyst said Camel Hump needed to win Georgia AND North Carolina to have a chance!
She won’t win either and won’t win Virginia as well.
I hope Kemp realizes he has a better chance with Trump than Harris. I wouldn’t bet the farm on that, but I can hope...
Kemp is still a closet Democrat and still will run the vote count with Raffensberger so that his Democrat friends will be happy.

An accurate comparison, I think.
If I were Trump, I’d trust Kemp about as much as Caesar should have trusted Brutus.
Much Much less than Ceasar and Brutus.....at least they started as friends.
Kemp is a complete snake... just WATCH THE BASTARD... he’ll soon prove it!!
I wouldn’t trust Kemp any farther than I could throw him.
Kemp is creepy.
It is because Trump called out Kemp that Kemp is now supporting Trump. Trump is right again.
True. But Trump is the official nominee and Kemp is no longer popular in GA.
Can one make amends with a snake?
OK Kemp, let’s get to work squaring away the voter registrations in Georgia. Also, on American citizens should be voting.
Keep him at arms length, and don’t ever let him get behind you.
Can they get Ratburger in line now and stop the voter fraud?
I refuse to support Brian Kemp for anything!!!! I called his office this morning and told them that!!! Screw Kemp, Raffinsburger and Duncan!!!!
This was predictable due to political necessity. There are times when politics is uncomfortably reminiscent of professional wrestling.

do you suppose kemp wrestled a pardon out of trump for his endorsement???
Hard to believe there’s a trifecta of backstabbers elected statewide. Doesn’t help when Herschel is your carpet bagger nominee. If Kemp wants to take on Ossoff on his way out in ‘26 we may have no choice but to support him.
