Former President Trump has surged ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in at least one betting market after receiving a surprise boost as the Democratic National Convention (DNC) continues in Chicago.
Trump, who was surpassed by Harris in the prediction markets a week ago, has regained his position as the frontrunner on PolyMarket, where traders on Wednesday gave him a 52% chance of winning the 2024 presidential election.
Harris' odds dropped to 47%. Last week, the site had Harris beating Trump, 51% to 46%.

It’s pretty standard for a Convention to provide a candidate a bit of a bounce in their popularity. But it’s unusual for the opposition candidate to be the one to get the bounce.
It is but she’s announced some very unpopular policies
When she makes her speech she will drop like a STONE.
When Walz makes his they might want to reconsider.........
Who knows how the votes will come out but I’ll say this ...for a woman to win the presidency (cheating aside) she’ll have to project a lot of strength. Harris does not project strength.
But she raised record gazillion of dollars.
But they DNC audience was 20 million more than the RNC audience.
Kommie Kamabla’s comments on price fixing was just too much for even much of the dems, WaPo, NYT and many others as they are ranting out just a couple days before the rat’s convention started. It’s all downhill from here...was totally wrong about riots though. Even the troublemakers backed off knowing it was a waste of time.
