Jill Biden's speech at convention honors President Biden and marks an end for the first lady, too (ugliest dress yet)

CHICAGO (AP) — Jill Biden once said that she knew marrying Joe Biden — then a senator from Delaware — would mean "a life in the spotlight that I had never wanted.”

On Monday night, now very accustomed to that spotlight, the first lady stood before the Democratic National Convention to do her part to highlight her husband's 50 years of public service as his presidency begins to draw to a close.

Her words marked the beginning of an end for her, too.

Before the president walked across the stage at the United Center to deliver the keynote speech on the convention's opening night, the first lady used her address to speak to his character and reiterate her support for Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Joe and I have been together for almost 50 years, and still there are moments when I fall in love with him all over again," she said. Among them, she said, was watching him “dig deep into his soul and decide to no longer seek reelection and endorse Kamala Harris.”

Jill Biden urged Americans to unite with “faith in each other, hope for a brighter future, and love for our country."

President Biden endorsed Harris shortly after he dropped out of the presidential race in July, and she has succeeded him as the Democratic Party's nominee.

In the weeks before Biden decided to leave the race, the first lady had declared that she was “all in” on her husband's reelection plan, even as Democrats began calling on him to drop out following his disastrous performance in a debate against Republican Donald Trump on June 27.

Biden himself had brushed aside those calls, repeatedly insisting that he was staying in the race. His wife, one of his fiercest supporters and defenders, backed him up.

I don’t care about looks or appearance. What people think, policies, positions, creativity, strategy, love of liberty and fidelity to the Comstitution, and what’s in the heart matters most. I thought it was wrong when SNL et al. maligned Sarah Huckabee Sanders over her weight.

That said…the 3+ years of fashion gaslighting where Jill was hoisted as a beacon of fashion was patently absurd. She was dressed like a couch or drapes most of the time, and they told us/The Little People that she was stunning. I’ve seen better patterns on bucket seats in automobiles. The contrast of bashing Ms Sanders and ignoring Melanie with the elevation of Jill to a beauty icon is one of the most visible displays of collusion; it’s reminiscent of Romania where the “barely literate in science” Elena Ceaușescu was, among other things, made a member of the Romanian Academy's Section for Chemical Sciences.

But last night…well…

….it reminded me of a different type of pattern and fabrics…

Elder abuse was never dressed so badly.

When one reviews FJB’s 50-year history in American politics, and indeed his personal life, the sob has never done anything positive for America and her People....nothing. All the sob ever did was satisfy/enrich himself and family, nothing for the betterment of the American People.

I know no one ever analyzes these maudlin speeches, but her memory was they had to bring his birthday cake to the Amtrak station and he spent 5 minutes with them and left?? He was a frigging senator, not the president. Either he hated his family, or the story made zero sense.

Suppposedly, her father’s greatest achievement was to absorb all their sorrow over Beau. Joe and Ashley played the Beau card over and over.

How about rubbing Hunter in everyone’s face again, after calling Trump a “convicted felon”.

And they get away with all this nonsense.
