Given that it's "responsible for defense and day-to-day military operations in Washington D.C" then my tinfoil makes me wonder about Joe Biden not guaranteeing a smooth transition of power. /shiny side out.

Not exactly. A 15-6 investigation is a purely administrative investigation and the UCMJ is criminal. That's not to say that the findings of a 15-6 can't lead to UCMJ charges because they certainly can.

You’re right. 15-6 being a unit level investigation. I was never subject of one, or even an Article 15. Most 15-6s I was aware of during my time were for accidents. Maybe she crashed a vehicle or more likely, came up short on an inventory, lost COMSEC equipment, etc.
