The Berkeley and Oakland Unified School Districts announced Wednesday that teenagers aged 16 and 17 can vote for the school board.
This stems from two ballot measures: one passed in Berkeley in 2016 and another in Oakland in 2020, allowing this voting change.
The Alameda County Registrar of Voters says it is ready to implement this and get those teenagers registered to vote.

And guess how they’ll vote. Rat party.
The STUPID in the Bay Area is very strong.
Let me guess: they’ll be able to vote for more than JUST school board members.
The inmates running the asylum.
How about controlling that they only vote in “school elections”?
“Progressive” stupidity has no bounds!
The Euorpean socialists did the same thing. Give the young the right to vote, in order to stroke their egos. Then used their vote to take over.
dystopian comedy-drama film directed by Barry Shear and starring Christopher Jones, Hal Holbrook, and Shelley Winters. Based on the short story "The Day It All Happened, Baby!" by Robert Thom, it was distributed by American International Pictures. The film, described as both "ludicrous" and "cautionary", was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing and became a cult classic of the 1960s counterculture.
The first bill Sally introduces is a constitutional amendment to lower the age requirements for national political office to 14, and "Fourteen or Fight!" enters a new phase. A joint session of Congress is called, and the Troopers – now joined by Fergus's son, Jimmy – swing the vote their way by spiking the Washington, D.C., water supply with LSD, and providing all the Senators and Representatives with teenage escorts.
The kids will get together and devise a plan...that’s what kids do.....I’ll take a wait and see on this one. These kids vote for trannies for prom queen and cr** like that...they might design a big write in campaign and the board will be like none other.
This is for Board Members only.
Because that area just isn’t Communist enough.
yup
Keep swirling down the toilet bowl. Good grief.
California. That says it all.
So they all will need an escort to the voting place since they cannot read.
Ones at home for mail-in ballots can help them move their c crayons to make the “X” for their name signature.
Side note.
About Illinois and Chicago, not CA, but news today said zero percent of students are reading and doing math at their grade level in the public schools. The Chicago teacher’s union president sends her kids to a Catholic private school.
She blamed white racism on the testing requirements that showed the school students are failing.
So, what’s next? Prisoners voting for Wardens?
But next they should be allowed to vote in City Elections……. Then?
This is designed to perpetuate the “deep state” of school districts. I remember in the 1960’s being cajoled by TEACHERS in my elementary classes to “tell your parents to vote for so-and-so” and “tell your parents to vote for ‘the levy’” — etc.
The same thing will occur. They will tell students who to vote for and influence them in more subtle ways. They will have 100% voting because the votes will take place right in the school, and the schools will actually GRADE STUDENTS on voting by telling them they will get X points for registering, and x points for proving they voted, etc.
Minor students in primary public schools HAVE multiple CONFLICTS OF INTEREST in voting BEFORE THEY HAVE EVEN FINISHED their educations for how their education should go.
Total BULLSHIT.
“Democracy” is “two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.” It’s evil and should be RESTRAINED and only used when there is no other way to make a decision. Children by definition can be manipulated and are not as good at making decisions as adults.
Terrible idea: that’s Democrats for you.
This was their answer to stop Moms for Liberty
