CNN’s Keilar: Walz Didn’t Carry in War Like He Said, But Attacks on Him ‘Offensive’ and ‘Diminish’ Veterans
Breitbart ^ | 08/10/24 | Ian Hanchett

On Friday’s broadcast of “CNN News Central,” co-host Brianna Keilar — who, on Thursday, stated that 2024 Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance’s (R-OH) actual title “kind of gives you a different impression” that he saw combat and thus, he might be “an imperfect messenger” to criticize 2024 Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D) — said that “the Trump campaign is swiftboating Tim Walz.

Contrast Walz with Sergeant Major Plumley in We Were Soldiers.

Sergeant Major Plumley was a REAL Sergeant Major.

Walz was just a guy wearing a uniform.

And he’s a disgrace to the uniform.

If Walz hadn’t embellished his military career, no one would be questioning his service. The scrutiny Walz is undergoing in no way disrespects veterans.

Interesting that no one seems to be able to find his retirement DD214.

My Dad was a Sergeant in The Korean War.

He taught me to respect Sergeants.

I have always respected Sergeants…..real Sergeants.

I don’t respect Walz.

Funny... I don't remember the LAAP-dog media rushing to defend George W. Bush's Texas Air National Guard service against "fake news" attacks on his service.

White liberal women don’t care “if he didn’t carry a war gun, shouldn’t have guns anyway “.

The media is desperate to prop him up.

He’s their next little Bolshevik meat puppet.

Desperate is exactly right. The stolen valor message is taking hold.

Any leftoid who implies diminishing veterans is not good is just a liar. The left has demonstrate for years their contempt for the military and its veterans. Of course, this boob torched any credibility she might have desired just a few days ato.

Every time I read another Walz "Stolen Valor" article I hear a song going through my head...

..Brave Sir Robin ran away, Bravely ran away, away.
When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about And gallantly, he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin..

The situation's not humorous at all, I know. Maybe I'm wrong for making light of it?

That no one seems to be able to find his retirement
DD214 is interesting..........he’s got something to hide.

I'd bet that it is proof he discharged as a Master Sergeant (E-8), unlike his web page still claims he retired as a CSM (E-9). As we now know, Walz left the CSM Academy before fulfilling the qualifications to be a permanent CSM. It's apparent that he was "frocked" to E-9 while attending the Academy and then was automatically reverted back to E-8 when he quit on his own accord.

Or, it could be since others have said he was never in combat, his last DD214 would NOT show in the medals section that he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB). I could be wrong since I'm Navy, but I believe if awarded the CIB, it would be on his retirement DD214. The CIB is a big deal. You've seen it many times in military movies. It is worn at the top of most other awards/medals on the left side of the uniform.

Here is a good timeline of Walz's military career.

Unlike him, his DD214 doesn’t lie.

“Did he ever do active duty?”

That is a good question. I’ve read several times that he served in Italy, but I do not know if it was for an annual National Guard two or three week situation or not.

NOT offensive and it does the opposite for veterans - it keeps their legacies clean from lies.
