The Biden administration unleashed a torrent of criticism against Israel’s polarizing finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, on Friday after he referred to cease-fire negotiations with Hamas as a “dangerous trap.”
White House national security communications adviser John Kirby said a lengthy statement posted by Smotrich to the social platform X made “ridiculous charges” regarding his opposition to a cease-fire deal to end the fighting in Gaza.
“Some critics, like Mr. Smotrich, for example, have claimed that the hostage deal is a surrender to Hamas or that hostages should not be exchanged for prisoners. Mr. Smotrich essentially suggests that the war ought to go on indefinitely without pause and with the lives of the hostages of no real concern at all,” Kirby said.
“His arguments are dead wrong; they’re misleading the Israeli public.”

Dangerous trap is a outrageous statement?
This admin also uses the term “outrageous statement” whenever anybody says the truth about Iran.
If a ceasefire does not include release of all hostages, it can’t go forward. Once released, the next step is negotiating the surrender dead or alive all supporters and members of HAMAS involved in October 7th.
If only Israel would return the favor by broadcasting its criticism of outrageous US policies directly to American citizens, encouraging regime change…eh
As if anyone’s opinion in the white house about Israel ‘s dealing with its own war has any value whatsoever. who is he to comment about anything dealing with Israel.

It should be noted that Sinwar, leader of Hamas, was released from Israeli prison in 2011 as part of a hostage exchange. This was approved by the Netanyahu cabinet of the time. Be careful of which criminals you release.
It IS a dangerous trap — because Israel, with its smaller
territory, smaller population, and smaller list of allies, has more to lose from making a mistake.
Israel should kill one Hamas terrorist leader per day until all the hostages are released. No payments and no concessions can be made to Hamas. Hamas must surrender and be placed in an Israeli prison if they wish to survive. NO DEALS, NO CONCESSIONS, NO NOTHING.

Sorry but that's a really bad idea based on history. You would turn everyone of them into future bargaining chips and encourage more Israeli hostage taking.
There comes a time when taking POWs is no longer a viable or intelligent option. Hamas has made their lives a liability if any peace is to be achieved. They did it to themselves.
Israel should have finished this months ago. Every day this drags on Hamas grows stronger. Get off you butts and end this once and for all Israel. The media, leftist's and globalist's will wine insensately but that just means its Friday.
