The growing pressure on “Judge” Juan Merchan
Fallen Sidebar Mod

Posted on 08/09/2024 11:03:48 AM PDT by Sidebar Moderator

Regarding the looming September 18 sentencing date in the Trump “hush money” case, Merchan could go either way, in my humble opinion. He could sentence Trump to one year at Rikers, but grants a stay pending appeal. But the pressure on Merchan to go nuclear (order Trump to be taken into custody immediately) will be huge, from state and national Democrats and from his daughter, who’s raising boatloads of cash from the case. Your thoughts?

Trump has agreed to three debate dates, 9/4, 9/10 and 9/25. Kamabla won’t debate on Fox, so scratch out 9/4. That leaves the ABC News debate on 9/10.

The problem is that Riker’s Island is that the place is terribly depressing and prisoners are apt to commit “suicide.” If they can’t get him with a rifle they can get him with a nerve agent and a fake autopsy. Once they are in physical control he is a dead man. Kamala will then be installed in the White House. They might not even wait for the “election.”

State and federal laws have been no hindrance to this hack judge. By state recusal law alone, he has no business overseeing this case to begin with, given his family stood to benefit financially from the case.

There’s a mountain of motions and counter motions to process since SCOTUS ruled for immunity. A substantial amount of Bragg’s material will have to be combed out of the evidence and testimony.

Plus Trump’s appeals on the Stormy case conviction haven’t even made it out of NY state appeals courts yet.

This thing could drag on for a couple of years.

I don’t think that judge gives a sh*t about motions and the political niceties of the case, judging from his flagrant disregard for law and legal precedents thus far.

Once DJT dies in prison, however it is engineered, nothing matters any more. Even if Vance were substituted, he likely has much less chance of being able to get ahold of the deep state and can be dealt with. Killing Trump now, especially after one failed attempt, will result in a power grab that will be fast and complete. The military as now constituted will support it and tanks in the street is not a far fetched idea.

Maximum sentence in a maximun security segregation unit. Merchan will be declared “Hero of the Revolution “ by the democrats. There is NO WAY the democrats allow Trump to be president. None.

Merchan can sentence Trump no mater what. He doesn’t need legal preparation. The whole process ahs been phoney from the start with the bogus charge. A little more illegality won’t break the bank.

There’s just nothing in his record that was suggest he understands legal nuance, or is willing to yield to judiciousness. He’s an appointee of an apparatus that’s hellbent on imprisoning Donald Trump.

If Merchan sentences Trump to jail, he WILL surge in the polls!

The real question is, will the Democrats be able to restrain themselves from doing something that will be so obviously counterproductive to their chances at victory in November because they are so blinded by their hatred of Trump?

From the beginning, this case is riddled with, judge will likely not do this, or likely not do that, because it goes too far. There is nothing about this judge that suggests any sense of limits or moderation. He is part of an apparatus hell-bent on imprisoning Donald Trump.

After 91 felony counts, multiple arrests and a mug shot have all backfired, Democrats still haven’t learned. Imprisoning Donald Trump will be too tempting for them to resist. They wanted him dead, and failed. In their minds, incarcerating him will be the only way to stop Trump.

Remember, that’s why the judge rescheduled sentencing from July 11 to September 18, thinking July 13 would succeed.

They aren’t going to be passive anymore.

Like the uproar when they took to the streets after trying to kill him? If attempted murder didn’t trigger a response don’t hold your breath thinking a jail sentence will.

And I would hasten to add that a huge part of the Republican party is probably rooting for the judge, in the hopes of getting rid of Donald Trump altogether so they can go back to business as usual. The republican party leadership has always hated Trump. They detest him. They detest us. They rooted for Bob Mueller. They embraced the Russia hoax, eagerly, thinking it would be the end of Trump. And they knifed Trump after the January 6 fake “insurrection”. Their worst nightmare was a Trump political come back.
