Travel around the world. I have, to more than 50 countries. There are many countries quite powerful AND less national debt than ours based on GDP. We are broke and going more broke with stupid unnecessary wars in foreign lands. Why we spent hundreds of Billions to protect Ukraine’s borders while ours is undefended? Do you know that now interest on debt is the biggest item in federal budget?

I could not care less if Ukraine loses or Russia loses. Every major power in history met its demise with excessive foreign wars and excessive debt.

I only care about future of United States. Could not care less about Ukraine, Russia, China, Iran, etc.

No need to travel around the world to know what's going on. In the modern world, we now have TV and internet and radio and smartphones with instant communications capabilities to almost anywhere in the known universe.

When it comes to GDP vs debt, comparing other countries to the U.S. is like comparing elephants to mice. Not even close. No other country can compare, and no other country has taken on the amount of responsibilities as the U.S. has. And we can't get away from doing that. So, find another issue to complain about.

Yeah, broke but still spending more from where it doesn't exist. But, it's not foreign spending that has us going broke. Our domestic spending with so many social programs is many times that which we spend overseas, whether for wars or just simple 'foreign aid'. So, look to our domestic spending for what has us going broke.

Two completely different issues. Our borders can be closed with what has been budgeted in the past. But, it's not the spending or lack thereof that has the border 'undefended'. Guess what is?

Like I said, it's not foreign wars or foreign debt which has us spending so much and adding to the national debt and causing the interest on that debt to grow so high. Can you guess why the national debt continued to grow even without the war in Ukraine? If you can't guess, the internet is your friend, and so is your local and national TV service.

I care. I want Russia to lose and for Ukraine to remain free and independent and for the Ukrainian people to be allowed to recover from the war and live free and prosperous. I want Russia to lose because, they are the aggressors and have no right to invade neighbors.

I care about the future of the U.S. too, but I also care about the future of the rest of the world, because, what happens in other parts of the world, will also affect us, directly or indirectly. It's a small world after all.

Actually, there aren't. There are some countries that are more powerful economically on a per capita (Luxembourg) or overall GDP (China), but aren't at the same level as the USA militarily.

China has surrounded itself with self-made enemies and doesn't have a list of allies, unlike the USA. Neither does Russia
