A new report from NPR shows that Democrats have actually started to embrace the “Tampon Tim” nickname for Kamala Harris running mate Tim Walz despite its discomforting connotations.
After Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Tim Walz (D) as her running mate in the 2024 election, Republicans immediately seized upon legislation he signed into law in his state that called for tampons to be placed in both girl and boy bathrooms in schools. Since boys do not menstruate, Republicans coined the nickname. As Breitbart News reported:

No they’re not. They may be saying they are but they’d rather the name not be there at all. Democrats want all their dirty work left in the wings, not on the front page.
Why will Trump be in defensive position? If anything, Trump’s mode will be attack, attack and attack... with Harris-Walz in defensive mode helped by the MSM...
That’s what I was thinking. How we proudly accepted “Deplorables”, “VRWC”, etc. They don’t even get that there’s not a comparison ... they are so stupid!
A MN local conservative journalist was being interviewed on Monday. He warned us not to underestimate Walz and how he connects to people — that he’s engaging and likeable. I definitely haven’t picked up on that myself, but we shall see.
So far, I think JDV will make mincemeat out of him.
