Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said on Saturday that revenge will be “severe and at an appropriate time, place, and manner,” blaming the “terrorist Zionist regime” for Haniyeh’s death. The Iranian attack on Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran last week is expected to come as early as Monday, three US and Israeli officials told Axios reporter Barak Ravid on Sunday.
Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of US Central Command, arrived in the Middle East early Sunday morning amid Hezbollah and Iran's threats against Israel, Walla reported on Sunday, citing two senior US officials.
The aim of the visit, which was planned before the current escalation, is to prepare a coalition to counter such threats, the report added.
Israel on high alert at Iran threatens revenge Several Iranian officials vowed that the country would avenge Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination, as Israel remains on high alert for a potential attack and the United States is sending additional forces to the region.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said on Saturday that revenge will be “severe and at an appropriate time, place, and manner,” blaming the “terrorist Zionist regime” for Haniyeh’s death.
In addition, the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations told CBS News in an exclusive on Friday that Hezbollah would begin deliberately targeting Israeli civilians – claiming that it had not done so until now.

thats good your prognosis for hamas is so optimistic.

Even if Muslims today, modern Iranians are descended from ancient Persia, which off and on has dominated the Mideast periodically as an imperial power. A Persian king even liberated the Jews from Babylonian captivity and permitted them to return to their homeland more than twenty-six centuries ago.
Until the overthrow of the Shah during the Carter administration, Iran had a small but prosperous and privileged Jewish community that dated from ancient times. Due to Jewish immigration to Israel, modern Israel and Iran are the most intimate of enemies, as are Russia and Israel for similar reasons.
As befits an imperial minded power, Iran, like Russia, regards chess as its national game. Persia even introduced chess to the world. The term "checkmate" is derived from the Persian term "Shah Mat!" -- the king is dead. As befits a highly educated and ambitious people, Israelis are also passionate about chess.
Chess rewards patience and the accumulation of small advantages through intelligent sacrifices, exchanges, and the development of strategic position. What may have looked like a failed drone and missile attack by Iran was only an initial probe that tested adversary defenses and depleted defensive missile supplies.
Iran, Israel, and Russia are vastly different, but they are playing the game of nations with the sophistication of grand masters in chess. We shall see if their current round ends in a close-run draw as most elite level chess games do -- or in a world shattering checkmate.
Tuesday has officially ended. I’m thankfully still waiting.
Maybe Bibi told Iran that he’ll destroy every nuclear facility in the country if they’re attacking Israel.
Easy to say. Some of them are deep underground in hardened bunkers in the hills. Mossad’s good at what they do, but neither omniscient nor omnipotent. But Bibi can spook them with tough talk in the wake of the recent incident in Tehran.
“Maybe Bibi told Iran that he’ll destroy every nuclear facility in the country if they’re attacking Israel.”
He should anyway.
What ever happened to?:
If you guys attack it will be the end of you
Our response will be devastating for you.
Whatever you do to us you will pay a much worse price than ever before.
Just do it and suffer the consequences.
All the “Diplomats” are saying the wrong thing.
Here we are, all just waiting and sitting tight for an attack? Where is a leader who will cause Iran to back down?
Biden and the rest of the West is saying, ‘Oh well...”
