Here We Go Again: ‘Zuckbucks’ Group Announces Plans To Dump More Cash Into Election Offices
Breitbart ^ | August 02, 2024 | Logan Washburn

The Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which increased Democratic turnout in 2020 by shuttling “Zuckbucks” to public election offices, will be issuing another round of grants to rural areas ahead of November’s election.

“This program will help eligible rural and nonmetro election offices modernize outdated voting technology, improve access to voting for rural voters, seniors, and veterans, and make much-needed infrastructure updates to enhance election security and make voting smoother,” said CTCL Director Tiana Epps-Johnson in a press release obtained by The Federalist.

Rural officials can apply for grants beginning today, the release said. It is unclear how much money CTCL is planning to distribute to local election offices before the election.

But the group did announce how much money it would give to each area, based on the number of voters. According to the press release, jurisdictions with fewer than 5,000 citizens of voting age are eligible for $5,000; those with 5,001 to 25,000 are eligible for $20,000; those with 25,001 to 100,000 are eligible for $50,000; those with 100,001 to 250,000 are eligible for $100,000.

According to CTCL’s website, the “nonpartisan” grants will be available in U.S. territories and 19 states. The grants target 2024 battleground states Michigan, Nevada, and New Hampshire. Other eligible states are Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming.

The new grants can be used for “key human, physical, and technological assets” the Department of Homeland Security considers “necessary to conduct elections,” according to CTCL’s website.

The key words here are “rural” and “nonmetro”. Zuck is helping Republicans get out the vote, perhaps in penance for 2020 and in retaliation for Democrat pro-Hamas tendencies. This is street money for GOP activists.

Wisconsin HAS made it illegal - but other states haven’t taken any legal action against this.

We’re all so screwed.

Michigan, Nevada are the ones to watch. So there should be lawsuits in those states.

Until the liberal supreme court overrules it. Like they just ruled with ballot boxes. We're all so screwed.

This is Michigan in 2020, the state was won by Trump - then in the middle of the night a massive ballot dump in downtown Detroit almost exclusively for Xiden  and the state vote was stolen away from Trump.  A somewhat populated state however it is largely a red state except the ghetto of Detroit and the liberal limosine types from Lansing and Ann Arbor.  A waste of money, just a guilty feeling Suckerburg has after calling Trump a few days ago and to shed some guilt.  Now the libtards will really be out for him, however he can get private security rather than SS that will get him killed.

There’s some argument that he’s switched sides. So either he’s helping Ala Elon Musk or he’s repeating 2020. May sound naive, but I think he may be helping. He’s apparently tucked about anti Jewish protesters & umDemocrats limp waisted response 🤔

Yes it is but they did it last time and nobody was held accountable. The DC swamp wants Trump either gone dead or in jail and believe me they are not letting up. This is nothing wait until he comes before the judge in New York for sentencing. It’s going to be stomach turning again. And they’re out with a vengeance and they’re not gonna go by what the Supreme Court ruled and you know how they’re going to do it? Change the rules and the law to benefit them and untied their hands to go after Trump. Believe me they’ve got it perfectly timed. There is no way Trump will have time to bring it before the Supreme Court again. These people are effing evil.

You may be right. This appears to help Republicans in 2024. Having said that, no one of either party should be relying on billionaires to “modernize outdated voting technology”.

We must all make election integrity laws a top priority. Paper numbered ballots, clean voter rolls, mandatory photo ID required to vote, mostly one day voting with a reasonable absentee process for those who truly actually need it, and NO ILLEGAL ALIEN VOTING.

This article is apparently much ado over nothing. Zuckerberg has left the room:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/08/02/mark-zuckerberg-private-funding-elections/
[Without Zuckerberg money, limited private funding available for elections

The Center for Tech and Civic Life is again awarding grants this fall — but in much smaller amounts. The $2.5 million it plans to give to small and midsize communities in as many as 19 states totals less than 1 percent of what it spent in 2020. The grants will have nowhere near the nationwide effect they did in the last presidential election but could nonetheless spark controversy.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are not participating in the program this year, according to the center. Zuckerberg has said he made one-time donations to the center in 2020 because the covid-19 pandemic fueled a spike in costs for election officials.]

$2.5m is two orders of magnitude less than the $430m Zuckerberg spent in 2020.

Or it’s a plea attempt to try not to get prosecuted when Trump wins.

modernize outdated voting technology, improve access to voting
Maybe we should go back to the old days of lever actuated mechanical voting machines, and ONLY provide absentee mail in ballots in a limited number of special circumstances, such as our troops on active duty, no other exceptions. Surely with the technology today those "old school" machines can be made more secure and more difficult to tamper with.

We know how effective this program was. Massive funding made it possible to hire and equip election workers and dominate critical areas in the election. It is not said but understood that methodology includes illegal methods. The Zuckerbuck ban in the 28 states is a great idea, but I don’t see it in deep blue states.
