Most women’s sports are a comical farce that only exist because the participants are able to compete in segregated environments that they would never accept in any other walk of life.
Mixed feelings about this. A lot of these girls think that this is/was soooo cool.
Would love to see this “female” (obviously not referring to the actual female Italian fighter) step into the ring with a male - even one a weight class or two smaller. Wouldn’t last one minute.

On the one hand I feel back for Carini and the situation sucks, sure. But I have to be perfectly honest, after that abomination they called an opening ceremony, if I was in her shoes and was told I would be boxing a man in the ring “because political correctness,” I would have packed my bags and went to the house—gold medal be damned.
Men beating up on women is a crime and culturally unacceptable - now they’ve made an Olympic sport out of it.
