New York Supreme Court Rules Texas Can Continue Busing Migrants to Big Apple
Breitbart ^ | 08/01/20204 | Bob Price

The New York Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit filed by Mayor Eric Adams attempting to block Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s migrant busing program. The ruling allows the State of Texas to continue busing migrants to New York City.

In a post on social media, Governor Abbott vowed to continue busing migrants from the Texas border region to New York City and other sanctuary cities. The ruling by the New York Supreme Court is the second legal victory for Abbott in as many days.

Another WIN!

The New York Supreme Court REJECTED Mayor Adams’ attempt to block Texas from busing migrants to his sanctuary city.

Until the Biden-Harris Administration secures the border, Texas will continue to send migrants to sanctuary cities. https://t.co/8kfMeaJXWe

Before She Was Biden’s “Border Czar,” Kamala Misappropriated
Millions in Federal Grants Meant To Combat Border Crimes
Washington Free Beacon ^ | July 30, 2024 | Alana Goodman

As district attorney for San Francisco, Kamala Harris misappropriated over $5 million in federal grants that were intended to combat border crimes, according to a 2010 Department of Justice audit.

Records show that Harris, while serving as chief prosecutor of the sanctuary city from 2004 to 2011, requested millions of dollars from the Department of Justice’s Southwest Border Prosecution Initiative. The program reimburses local prosecutors for handling “illegal immigration and drug and alien smuggling cases” referred to them by federal authorities.

But a DOJ inspector general audit report found that none of the cases that Harris’s office filed for reimbursement were eligible under the program. The city was forced to pay back the improper funding claims.

The report suggests that Harris has struggled to manage border crime issues dating back to the early days of her political career.

Harris, who serves as the point person for Biden’s migrant policies as vice president, has faced criticism from Republicans for failing to slow the surge in illegal immigration and border crime.

“I think she’s been consistent throughout her political career, whether she was D.A., a California attorney general, a senator,” said Ira Mehlman, media director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform. “Her entire record was about not enforcing immigration laws, [and] making sure that the people who violate those laws are not prosecuted or removed in any way.”

Jon Feere, a former Immigrations and Customs Enforcement official and investigator at the Center for Immigration Studies, said there has “not been any initiative by Kamala Harris, the border czar, to discourage illegal immigration or stop the fallout from open borders, going back to her time as district attorney.”

“She doesn’t see a problem with victimization, and thinks that the policies are more important than any harm to American citizens,” he said.

It won’t be just us, will it.

NYS doesn’t have the money.

And you can’t get blood out of a stone.

Thanks for funding our largesse.

Since we’re getting your tax dollars, you must be cool with helping us pay for it, right...?

Locate the ones that have somehow obtained voter registration cards and send them to NY. Make sure their voter ID is canceled, too!

All you folks laughing your backsides off should take a good look at NYS’s budget.

Hint: We aren’t the only ones paying for this.

Then jerk your heads out and stop allowing Deep State to jerk you unto its games of lets-you-and-him-fight.

BTW, where does anyone get the idea that the NY court system has any say over what Texas does?

For about the tenth time, I’ll state it. The “Supreme Court” in New York is the LOWEST court of general jurisdiction. A step above Traffic Court. The “Court of Appeal” is the equivalent of what most other states call the “Supreme Court”.

Correction: “Appeals”, with an “s”.

Great Point. Think I remember something about original jurisdiction of disputes amongst states being vested in a certain federal court. Now what document was that? Hmmm....
