Roughly 40 people at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex were being treated for heat-related illnesses leading up to the Donald Trump rally in Harrisburg on Wednesday, according to a city official.

Harrisburg spokesperson Matt Maisel said the individuals who are being treated for heat-related conditions are in “fair to good condition” and advised nobody was taken to the hospital.

LIVE COVERAGE: Trump visits Harrisburg A PennLive reporter at the rally said at least six ambulances are in the area. The Farm Show Complex also made an announcement saying medical professionals are available at first-aid tents for anyone who needs help.

Shortly after 4 p.m., the National Weather Service listed the Harrisburg area at 93 degrees with a heat index of 96. Trump is scheduled to speak at 6 p.m.

The goal is to get inside the arena, which is air-conditioned and feeling quite comfortable, another PennLive reporter said.

Around 3:45 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police asked the public to avoid the area of the Farm Show Complex due to full parking lots and expected traffic delays.

And probably 100% humidity with all that ocean around.

Oh, and striped swamp mosquitos. I don’t miss them at all (used to live on the peninsula)

Hey, Crooks’ sister was at the grocery store the other day wearing all black, in a C mask and bundled up like it the middle of a snow storm. The whole bunch must be nutters.

I have to laugh because that’s how I dress when I go outside. The mosquitoes have been really bad this year and even after slathering on the bug spray they still bite me.

Meh. Here in Texas we had annual training down at Hood. Ten+ days in the heat with pants and long sleeves. Running around. Just drink water and salt and you’ll be fine for a couple hours.
