DENVER (KDVR) — On Tuesday, visitors at Yellowstone National Park fled when a hydrothermal explosion occurred a few miles north of the famous Old Faithful geyser. No one was injured, but the event destroyed a nearby boardwalk and prompted officials to close the Biscuit Basin area of the park for the rest of the year.
As alarming as the video and subsequent damage seemed, the phenomenon is a normal, common occurrence at Yellowstone, happening at least once each year. Officials with the U.S. Geological Survey told Nexstar hydrothermal explosions like the one that occurred this week are “not a sign of impending volcanic eruptions.”

My grandparents lived in Ellensburg, Washington when Mt. St. Helens erupted. I went to visit them a few months after and got a sweet T-Shirt that said “Fondle My Ash.”
LOL...That’s pretty good....
Last time it did, it laid red hot volcanic ash south of Amarillo TX. An eruption like that would be devastating to the country. The bad news is, it’s not if, it’s when.
I couldn’t possibly care less if Yellowstone goes boom. Now all this inflation….
One effect would be it would shut the yaps of environmentalists.
Yellowstone is a super volcano which means it’s magma chambers are fed directly from the earths mantle
Women and minorities will be hardest hit…..
The ash & smoked will last for MONTHS-—If not years.
NO CROPS can grow without sunlight.
Westerly winds will carry the ash to New YorK City.,
THINK KRAKATOA
AND EVERYTHING EAST
It would be, you know, like…bad.
“Women of color, transgendered, and unrepresentative communities hardest hit.”
If the Yellowstone Caldera blows it’s goodbye America as well as most of southern Canada and most of northern Mexico.
If I understand it correctly it’s about 200,000 years over due.
Lets just hope that Hawk Tuey girl doesn’t spit on that thing
