New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) warned Sunday that rising enthusiasm for Vice President Harris among Democrats should worry the Trump campaign, urging the former president to focus on policy over personal attacks.
Sununu, a moderate who previously backed Nikki Haley’s primary campaign against former President Trump, told ABC News’ Martha Raddatz on “This Week” that the rise of Harris changes the race.
“This is the honeymoon period,” Sununu said of the race. “The media is fawning. Everyone’s excited. It’s a whole new race. That’s all very true. And that’s going to last for about 30 days.”
The governor predicted that the race would really come into focus just after Labor Day, after the “honeymoon” is over.

This will be short lived. She has nowhere to go but down from here on. The convention will be a disaster.
Shut Up Sununu. Let them have their honeymoon. They need time to tie their millstone around their necks. Get her out before that and they have time for a second honeymoon. That would be worse.

Question: will the same person who planned the opening ceremonies at the Olympics be doing the democrat convention?
He’s not wrong about Trump needing to focus on policy. I foresaw this same situation with Biden. Focussing on Biden’s obvious personal failings was foolish, because all those points flew out the window as soon as Biden was out. The figurehead at the front of the Democrat mafia isn’t nearly as important as their socialist, totalitarian policies.
I hope it is just a fresh-face buoy. I remember thinking Rick Perry would be unstoppable when he announced way back when, and somewhat so for Fred Thompson.
But the MSM and social media combo is powerful.
Buckle up.
And Trump is still talking about Biden alot.
Hope the “honeymoon” is shorter than the Las Vegas marriage in The Hangover.
We already got through the first hours of Weekend At Joe Biden’s. They made Joe look relatively lifelike.
Rep. Jim Clyburn probably can’t sing as well as Mike Tyson so they’re skipping the oldies.
The undertaker’s makeup looked fake on the recent address to the nation, though. And the voice was not as good as little girls’ talking dolls. Gruff, though.
We used to joke about the unseen puppeteers for Joe but now he can have slender threads making his arms go up and down.
Trump is still making fun of Biden. If his infirmity was the problem, then it was solved by replacing Biden.
All this was predictable, as was Harris as the replacement.
We’ll have to see how the public ends up thinking about both candidates.
I know the message Trump should be sending. Reassurance. Calm. Capable. Controlled. And dismiss KH as an incompetent radical. Forget Biden except his record and that KH lied about his health.
Not overly optimistic at the moment but will see.

Trump mostly has focused on policy. He must have called her Border Czar Harris 50 times last night. They will wrap her in 2 things incessantly. The first is the border, the second, being a SF liberal.

Trump loses votes from the group of people, especially caregivers, who are on the fence and have ever had a loved one suffering with dementia. Trump just does not get how offensive his mocking is to many. It is not funny.
If he would stick to pointing out specific policy differences, he has an excellent chance of winning over undecided. Dem policies are outrageous to all but radical leftists who want abortion until the moment of birth.

Because xiden is still in the office. Who should he be speaking about— obamaumao? Indirectly or directly— everyone knows the Puppeteer is running things, and these are bammy’s policies through demented joey bags and ka-Malo- the “selected” one.

Exactly! But will he? He already has his base. Now it’s about reaching out to all those voters in the middle who are frustrated with the results of progressive policy.
In 2020 I wrote about my mom, a lifelong Republican, who voted against Trump. Why? Because she believed he was a “mean” man. Those are the kind of voters we need to win, voters who should be totally in the bag for Trump…but they’re not.
I thought Sununu would go into hiding after Nikki got crushed.
