Harris' shift from tough-on-crime prosecutor to social justice advocate faces scrutiny from conservative group

Vice President Kamala Harris' checkered prosecution record during her tenure as California attorney general is resurfacing as her bid for the White House heats up. From locking up parents whose children had chronically missed school to supporting a bail fund that let violent Black Lives Matter rioters out of jail in 2020, Harris' approach to criminal justice is facing fresh scrutiny.

America First Legal (AFL), a nonprofit conservative legal watchdog group, launched seven investigations into Harris' prosecutorial background on Thursday afternoon,...

Through public records requests to the California Attorney General's Office, AFL is investigating Harris for failure to comply with federal donor privacy laws; failure to enforce federal immigration laws; failure to pursue equal justice; failure to disclose conflicts of interest; failure to address evidence of misconduct; the nature of probes by the California Fair Practices Commission; and potential cover-up of misconduct evidence.

"And so those are really our probes of her not following the rule of law and bending it for a political objective,"...

It’s neither hard on crime nor soft on crime. Kamala was just bad at her job no matter the situation.

I think she passed it on her second attempt.

Kamela Harris is progressive California personified.

No worse statement about her can be made.

Where’s Zorro?

Candidate Kamala Harris’ checkered record as California AG is resurfacing.
<><>she locked up parents whose children had chronically missed school
<><>she supported an organized bail fund that let violent BLM rioters out of jail in 2020,
<><>she let migrant drug offenders (dealers?) clean their police records to evade deportation.

I checked. You are right. Apparently passed it on the second attempt, which is no disgrace.

Is Kamala Harris the Worst Boss Ever?

Only four of Harris’ initial 71 staff hires remain; a shocking 92% staff turnover rate.
The rest either quit or were fired, according to non-partisan fiscal watchdog “Open The Books.”

Signs of a toxic workplace or does Kamala have a hidden agenda?

Fiscal watchdog “Open The Books’s” investigation revealed a $2 million plus discrepancy in Harris’ allocation of taxpayer dollars. OTB calculated that for VP Harris’s 28 staff listed in the Senate report, the 2021 salaries added up to $2,334,223. But the vice president’s office “got $5 million for 23 full time staff in 2021 and requested over $6 million for 27 full time staff in 2022.

Harris’ office reportedly refused to answer any questions from OTB regarding this inconsistency. OTB said Harris’ office is a “revolving door” where there’s a perpetual staff exodus of key aides heading for the exits.......that might correspond to the $2 million discrepancy in her tax-paid payroll.

Payroll fraud entails serious crimes.......falsifying govt documents, misappropriation of tax dollars, skimming, larceny, check tampering, check kiting, billing fraud, payroll fraud, reimbursement fraud, pension fraud, misuse of tax dollars, theft of tax dollars, ID fraud, Social Security swindles, IRS fraud.

Cong Andy Ogles wants to impeach Harris; he should
focus on the $2 million govt payroll scam she pulled.

The beatification of Kamala continues. During the 2020 campaign, Harris tweeted her followers to donate to help bail out those arrested during the George Floyd riots. “....chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” she tweeted in June of that year. But the Kamala-backed bail fund has come under fire
<><>for helping put rapists and murderers back on the streets.
<><>the fund spent $$$100’s of thousands of dollars
<><>funds free an alleged knife murderer and a twice convicted rapist
<><>the fund freed criminals facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping, among others.

To report mishandling of donated funds:
Contact the state consumer protection office.
Report fraud to the FBI at tips.fbi.gov.
Report online fraud to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

Lefty Harris liked to brag about using “a huge stick” as a S/Frisco prosecutor; she
regularly threatened poor parents; jail time was metered out if your kid missed school.

This was Kamala’s nutsy effort to establish her creds on making
“social policy “— which wasn’t even her job as a law enforcer.

Harris threw scores of young Blacks in jail; some of them were likely innocent.

But hey, the jailings bolstered her political fortunes, and got her where she is today.

Her entire lawyering career was 100% political. In all probability, she had slaves put every case matter on her desk and she would sign off. Wonder how many “in court” cases she presided.

The problem is that hard core Progressives don’t care about facts or history.
It is all about their side winning and having the power to roll over those who aren’t on the plantation.

Harris’ evolution from tough on crime to lenient reflects the evolution of the elite on crime.

Turn the clock back about thirty years, and Rudy Giuliani’s tough on crime approach collapsed crime in New York City. His approach - called “broken windows” - became a model for cities across the country. We were making real progress against crime. Our cities were thriving and this was making life much better for people who live in cities, esp. poorer people.

Giuliani’s approach was initially embraced by his successor, Michael Bloomberg. But, then, things started to change. With crime rates down, it was thought that civil liberty should trump law and order. No more stop and frisk. Then, no more arresting of turnstile jumpers. Eventually, shoplifting was de-criminalized, cash bail was abolished, and there was agitation to defund the police. Come the pandemic, and the first thing many places did was release the criminals onto the streets.

The rejection of tough on crime is reflected in Bloomberg’s disastrous attempt at the Democratic nomination in 2020. In spite of spending $1 billion (loose change to him), Bloomberg went nowhere. The Democrats weren’t at all interested in anybody who ever once was tough on crime.

You also see the rejection of tough on crime in Tulsi Gabbard’s devastating cross-questioning of Kamala Harris in an early debate for the Democratic nomination that year. Harris withdrew rather than defend her record or explain her transition.

As a result of the shift to leniency on crime, life became hell in our cities, and people in suburban and rural places fear that they are next.
