Newsweek is facing social media backlash after downplaying the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump by suggesting he was only hit with part of a bullet instead of an intact bullet.
The Newsweek article is titled “Donald Trump Might Not Have Been Shot After All.”
Newsweek attempts to justify this title by pointing to testimony from FBI Director Christopher Wray, wherein Wray said, “…With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”

I disagree. We are simply being bombarded with propaganda.
The same group of reporters would say a democrat was almost shot if a cap gun was fired with in 5 miles of an event.
That was definitely a quick response time on the Harpies' part, e.g., the View and social media. My wife knew about it within the hour. That sure sounds like the fakery message was almost certainly prepped in advance!
From all we've seen from the USSS, their higher ups--particularly Cheatle--were anything but positively disposed toward colluding to feature PDJT in a good light.
How about he tells the two victims and Corey’s family that.
2024 would be listed as the comedy package in the Time Travel Guidebook.
I certainly do remember.
I thought this nonsense was put to rest when it was shown that the teleprompters were still intact, meaning, exactly where did any “shrapnel” come from?
Stupid premise from those who are trying to play down the significance of what we all witnessed.
All the high def images that are easily verified on the web clearly show a bullet hole sized chunk of Trump’s ear missing and the teleprompters intact after the shooting. I keep reminding myself that every time Trump looks in a mirror he will remember that liberals tried to blow his brains out on live TV and that Almighty God preserved him to fight for us. The demon possessed pedophiles know it, too. And they know we know, and didn’t run and panic as they would have.
Yes Trump was hit by only part of the bullet, the outside part.
They are desperately trying to minimize the horrific tragedy on that fateful day but because they keep trying to minimize it they are in fact causing a Streisand effect.
If it was a bullet, then all the stories about how Trump was almost killed but turned his head in time to avoid a bullet in the brain generate enormous sympathy for a man almost killed.
If it was shrapnel, then there is a much lower probability that he was actually in danger of death and, therefore, not deserving of great sympathy because he just got knicked by flying debris.
In one case, he’s in the history books for an assassination attempt that hit him.
In the second case, you could argue that the shooter was aiming at a mass killing and Trump was just an accidental casualty and a footnote in history rather than a main entry.
Yeah, they tried that in the beginning saying it might have been part of a teleprompter that hit him after being hit with a bullet. Except there is no evidence of a broken teleprompter.
I do not know what has happened to Michael Yon. I used to read and listen to his stuff regularly. After interviews like this, I no longer do so.
“Mocked” = “discredited as a news source”
The only bullet shrapnel would have been something broken apart as it passed through another victim’s body. Newsweek @$$Os.
Obviously somebody who never shot anything.
maybe he sold his account like Matt Drudge did ...

If one is going to speculate about something happening they should at least propose a credible theory of HOW it happened. The Left (including Wray) throw out wild theories with zero evidence to support any of it.
Their main purpose is obviously to distract from the significance of the event and to tamp down any sympathy or respect that Trump may be gaining from the attempt on his life.
