The private sector is ditching DEI, but government can’t let go

Is DEI DIE-ing?

We can hope. And with the sudden resignation Tuesday of disgraced former US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, it’s starting to look like it.

Like most leftist catchphrases, “DEI” — which stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion — is basically a lie.

....

As for “inclusion,” well, when was the last time you saw a “DEI advocate” demand the inclusion of Republicans, conservatives, Christians or white males?

They want to include everyone — except the people they don’t like.

For a while we were told that DEI was good for business, and good for encouraging people to get along.

But in fact there’s no evidence that corporate DEI efforts help the bottom line

...

Moreover, there’s considerable evidence on college campuses that DEI efforts increase racial division and prejudice, rather than reducing it.

...

Businesses and colleges are catching on: Microsoft recently laid off its DEI team, becoming the latest company to ditch woke policies.

...

DEI has come to stand for “Didn’t Earn It”

...

Which brings us to the Secret Service, and its rather pathetic performance during the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump.

Cheatle, the agency’s now-former director, loudly bragged about her DEI efforts ...

But the promotional videos compared poorly with actual footage of chunky, out-of-shape-looking female agents struggling with their holsters and sunglasses in the aftermath of the shooting.

Australia’s Sky News called them “fumbling fumbelinas” in a humiliating commentary segment.

Were these unimpressive agents given their jobs because of DEI?

...

You need to be taller than the candidate to protect them with your body,” Meghan McCain tweeted. “Why do they have these short women (one who can’t holster a gun apparently) guarding Trump?”

“DEI” means “Kill Whitey and take all his stuff”.

It’s not dying, it’s going dormant and will re-emerge under a new name. Unless you start purging people from institutions, this is what will happen.

Rumor has it that the Bud Light girl is replacing Cheatle at the Secret Service,

The rumor did not specify if that meant Dylan Mulvaney or the the marketing girl/

Maybe that’s the point. All the DIE-types now have nowhere else to go.

Straight white men need to file a million lawsuits against every major institution.

If they win enough of them the lawyers will keep the DIE fanatics under control.

Although I retired in 2019, I worked for the DoD for over 30 years and I can tell you dei was alive in the fed gov WAY before it had a name.

All it did was weaken the project or mission etc. and made everyone else have to work that much harder to make up for the unqualified affirmative action “dei” hire......and the the animosity was epic.

There’s no telling how many people have been injured or worse because of this warped ass concept.....and it was a Hair’s breadth away from getting a President killed.

As one comment I saw, it’s the lunch lady behind the counter who got hired or Pat from SNL.

Go to LinkedIn and check out the huge number of posters with DEI in their job titles. This is why it has a huge built-in advocacy base... as Mel Brooks said in Blazing Saddles, “We gotta protect our phony baloney jobs!!!”

Lawyers are required to take a DEI CLLE annually and some of the classes are pure dross.

If you have a government contract DEI has been a requirement for at least twenty years. To get your maximum award fee, the bonus for on time performance, you must have a certain percentage of highly compensated minuities. Those minorities know they’re there for their melanin content and they tend to be useless @#$%^.

Like covid mandates, DEI is a cancer, a method of control

DEI is simply a more virulent strain of ‘affirmative action’.

Chris Farley’s lunch lady from SNL was fabulous! If my memory serves me he played her. My husband and I saw Adam Sandler in Radford like 30+ years ago @ Dedmon Center where Vance spoke on Monday. He was still on SNL and opened for George Carlin. He BLEW Carlin out of the water. I’m no Carlin fan anyway, but he played the Lunch Lady song and we all sang along.

My BIL was a roofing consultant/contractor for years and he used to tell stories of being hired to fix the mess the AA company caused when they were hired as the original contractor. He made a good living as a fixer.

I worked as an environmental consultant for the USPS for four years and ran into the same thing. In one case the AA contractor got caught faking reports. He told me to my face he didn’t have a problem with it because it was good enough for government work. I reported it to the Black USPS manager I worked with. Not only did he not fire him he paid him for the fake reports. We then went out and hired another company run by a White guy that I knew personally and had all the buildings reinspected and the reports done right. Paid double for the same job.

The USPS also refused to and wouldn’t allow me to report the guy to the American Society of Certified Industrial Hygienists because he might lose his license. This was in the last 90’s. DEI has been around for a while.

A side note my friend who ran the other company used to ‘hire’ Bill for government projects he was bidding on. Not to do any work, just to have access to his AA number for the bid. It was worth it to him to pay Bill 10-15% to increase his chances of getting the contract. Bill made a nice living doing that for a number of contractors in the area. He sat home and did nothing and got a check in return for being the token AA contractor on the bid. What a country, huh?

In the 90s I was applying for a dispatcher job at the local PD. A deputy I knew came to my house and told me “don’t bother getting your hopes up, we need to hire a minority.” They did choose a woman of color who, interestingly, in the end turned the job down. So I wound up with it anyway.

Then around the year 2000 I was going back to finish my college degree since my kids were old enough to be home alone for short times (middle and high school). I tried for financial help and was told...point blank...I was white, married, and worked, so no way I could ever get help. Explained we struggled financially and was then asked if I had any Spanish in me. Even 1/7th because that’s all I needed to claim minority status and I’d get a free ride. How’s that!!??

“It’s not dying, it’s going dormant”

I think they are burying the visibility but continuing the program buried in HR.

Is the private sector ditching it...?

Or just calling it something different?

Trust but verify.
