We never had any sunshine today to warm things up. Had some nice showers that kept the air cool.
There’s always a chance it’ll rain tomorrow but no storms are forecast. Just showers like today and with no wind, it won’t be too bad. Still, no rain is preferable.
When It Counts - 8th Special Forces Group TITAN Platoon

Below the video:
“I’m from the Philippines and I moved to the U.S. I am a former U.S. Marine Infantryman and it is the proudest moment of my life. Proud to be an American.”
“I read a book about the Korean conflict and one event captured what this video is all about. During the fight to get down the road to the sea, a company was assigned to keep the Chinese from taking over the high ground. One Marine stood his ground and he saw a Corsair heading north. The pilot was at the same elevation as the Marine. They both caught the other’s eye. At that moment they both knew what it was to be a Marine. The pilot dipped his wings in recognition. Marine air supporting Marine ground resulted in the infantryman receiving a Medal Of Honor.”
Yes, you did really good. Thanks for playing!
Cool is the key word when you’re having to work outside. I hope the showers, if there are any, stay calm and don’t cause it to get too muggy. When is early-voting done?
Cool is Indeed the key word. Looks like it’ll be pretty much a repeat of today with clouds all day and maybe a little shower here and there. Early morning and later in the evening appear to be when the rain chances are best.
It’ll be muggy regardless.
Saturday is the last day for early voting. Aug. 1st is election day and that’s when I’ll vote. I’ve never been an early voter.
Good luck with getting your favorite candidate elected.
lI love early voting. I’d rather be boiled in oil than stand in a huge line waiting to vote...or do anything else. LOL!
Most of the races are uncontested so everyone is basically casting courtesy votes. Turnout has been low for that reason. It’ll be a different story for the general in November.
We still have a few folks stopping by the tent to chat or with questions to make it worth our while.
Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park:
🤣This was kind of a tough one, I don't watch too many movies nowadays. I did get 4 out of 10 right though.
How's everyone doing this morning?
The election in November is going to be a total nightmare! I kind of dread it.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like Gizmo gave you quite a workout yesterday.
Yeah, it’s probably going to be a wild one. All w e can do it wait and see how it goes and hope for the best.
Time to head out and hit the sack.
I hope you have another comfortable day tomorrow. Gotta hang on to this cooler weather as long as we can. With a death grip. LOL
See ya tomorrow! I hope the cooler weather hangs on, too. It has been so nice. I actually had to use cover last night. LOL!
Have fun with the galz!
9 / 10…
He sure did. We’ll see how things go today.
Thanks for the Wednesday quiz.
War is Hell
https://www.theexistentialthreat.blog/post/war-is-hell
It was General William Tecumseh Sherman, the U.S. Civil War Union Army leader known for “Sherman’s March to the Sea,” who famously said “War is Hell.” Right now, there is probably no better face of that statement than that of Captain Sam Brown. After graduating from West Point, he served in Afghanistan, and sustained burns to thirty percent of his body due to an improvised explosive device.
The first and easiest comparison is to note that in the past, Russia did not invade Ukraine & Hamas did not invade Israel while Trump was President, but they did so when Biden-Harris occupied the executive office. We believe that the Biden-Harris “war” against fossil fuels was a major cause of the significant increase in crude oil prices that occurred during the Biden presidency; & that the increased revenue coming from higher oil prices allowed two of the world’s biggest oil producers, Iran and Russia, to spread horrific war in the Middle East & Eastern Europe.
Bravo on your almost-perfect score, Beachy! Good to see you, Early Bird!
Great job!
