Donald Trump revealed in a newly aired interview what President Biden told him shortly after the Republican presidential nominee survived an assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania campaign rally. “He said, ‘You’re lucky you turned to the right,’” Trump, 78, told Fox News host Jesse Watters of his phone call with the 81-year-old president. The former president characterized his chat with Biden as a ”nice conversation.” In the interview, which was taped Saturday but aired Monday, Trump also revealed that he refused orders to be carried off stage on a stretcher after the sniper’s bullet grazed his ear. “They wanted to put me on a stretcher,” Trump said. “They had a stretcher, and they wanted to put me on a stretcher. Good call by Trump. Otherwise the press and his other enemies would be calling him wimpy or melodramatic.
I agree, a good call by Trump. This is another reason to vote for Trump. He can make these spur of the moment decisions which are the correct ones.
Question please. In one interview President Trump said he kept telling the agents that he wanted to put on his shoes. Why would they remove his shoes? Did I hear that correctly?

Trump himself said that his shoes were knocked off of his feet when the Secret Service agents pushed him to the ground, “...and my shoes were on tight.” he said.
They hit him so hard when they covered him up his shoes fell off. He also said he had a bruise on his arm from them covering him up.
Put him on a stretcher?!? And waste even more time getting him away from what could very well have been additional shots?!? Compare this SS to those who had Reagan covered and removed in about 3 seconds. Sickening.
Donald, whatever these people want you to do... Do the opposite.
He made the right call. No way should he have put himself in that kind of vulnerable position.

If he’d left on a stretcher he might have been DOA from “injuries resulting” from his chest wound.

The left would be pointing to the images of Trump leaving on a stretcher and claim it shows he's in no condition to continue in the race.
I'd guess one of those keystone kopettes was scared she'd trip over them.
Curious if Trump turns out to be last person that Biden had a coherent conversation with
