Republican 2024 presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden after the president announced Sunday he was dropping out of the 2024 election.
Minutes after the announcement, Trump reportedly told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins in a phone call that Biden is “the worst president in the history of our country.”
“In a phone call with CNN minutes after Biden announced his exit from the 2024 race, former President Trump responded, ‘He is the worst president in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country.’ While it’s unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, Trump said he thinks VP Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been,” Collins wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement,” Trump wrote.
“All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists,” the GOP nominee continued. “We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The Trump campaign immediately began fundraising on the news of Biden dropping out of the race.
Like you, the more they waited and the more Biden wanted to stay in the race the more I was thinking it will be Hell for the democrats to replace him so late in the game. I knew they only had a few days to do it, but I am surprised it was today.

That seems to be a gratuitous and meaningless slander. More likely, he never stopped fundraising. This is campaign season. You don’t just stop and start up again with your fundraising.

But I believe that what Trump said at the convention is right. A reversal on the Green Scam policy will rapidly begin a reversal of the damage the Biden Steal has caused.
How to make it permanent? Voters are too stupid to protect America’s interests.

There was and is. Trump’s not going to let the Democrat candidate, whoever it may end up being, distance him/herself from Biden. They covered for him for 4 years. They supported him for 4 years. They OWN him.

I understand the appeal of getting in his final licks against Biden after all the things he’s done to us, but I’d love to see Trump and the GOP start hitting more generally on the Democrat Party’s “attacks on democracy.”
He and the other Republicans need to be stressing that the Dems already knew Biden’s condition during the primaries but covered up because they thought he could beat Trump. Instead of just allowing people to choose, when they saw from the polls they might lose, they tossed their primary voters in the trash and staged a coup against Biden. Biden refused over and over to leave, but the party elites, the rich donor class, and the propaganda media forced him out. This is the opposite of “democracy.”
And now, if they go with anyone but Kamala, their attacks on democracy will be even worse, if they simply ignore their voters and have the powerful elites anoint someone else whom no one actually voted for. Add this to their efforts to control who’s on the ballots, their efforts to imprison their opponent, and their promotion of political censorship, and it’s patently clear their support of democracy was not real. Trump turned “fake news” back on them, so now let’s stop the “Anti-democracy Democrats!”
