The Biden-Harris campaign took little time to officially drop President Biden from its namesake Sunday, filing paperwork kicking the president off the ticket just hours after the 81-year-old went public with his political-earthquake of a decision to withdraw from the 2024 race.
In a filing with the Federal Election Commission, the campaign asked to rename itself to “Harris for President” and designated the Harris Victory Fund and the Harris Action Fund as its joint fundraising committees.
“Vice President Harris is now a candidate for United States President in the 2024 election and will henceforth be conducting campaign activities only in pursuit of that office. This committee’s Statement of Organization and the Statement of Candidacy are being amended accordingly,” her team wrote in a notice.
The name change filing came shortly after Biden’s endorsement of Harris to become the Democratic Party’s standard bearer.
Harris has affirmed that her “intention is to earn and win this nomination.”
The campaign ended June with just under $96 million cash on hand, per FEC filings. When combined with allied commitments and the Democratic National Committee, that jumps to over $240 million.
Republicans had hinted that they might try to mount legal challenges in a bid to stymie Harris from tapping into that monster war chest or complicate efforts to change the names on the ballots.
“Every state has its own system, and in some of these, it’s not possible to simply just switch out a candidate,” Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.

Harris is an anchor baby. She is not eligible to be either president or vice president. They said Barry was, because one parent was a US citizen. Neither of Harris’s parents were US citizens. so, what now? Another usurper to run?
So Joe Biden is really living the dream ; he already talked about being the first black female VP and here he is making a name change to the bank accounts. I wonder who reconciles the monthly bank statement.
They’ve painted themselves into a corner -— if they dump Harris they’ll lose what’s left of the black vote; if they keep her, they’ll lose most everyone else. Their only hope is to pick a really popular black woman. And I don’t really think Michelle is all that popular.

Because of the circumstances, i think they will def rally around harris. Any decent candidate wont want any part of this coup. Theyll wait for 2028.

Throwing out the primary votes in support of Biden is a violation of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (imo), that section a penalty for states where ballot box fraud has occurred.
More specifically, given that Biden was allegedly incapacitated before the primaries began, the zero tolerance "hair trigger" wording of Section 2 makes it a crime to throw out votes of any election for any reason which desperate, goalposts-moving Democrats have now done for their Constitution-ignoring convenience with Biden imo.

Since Congress has repeatedly proven that it is an enemy of the people imo, it is now up to Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to effectively "impeach and remove" ALL (exceptions?) state and federal lawmakers and executives in November. Patriots need to support hopeful Trump 47 with a new, Constitution-respecting Congress, new state lawmakers too, not only so that he will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term, but will support him to quickly finish draining the swamp.
