Good evening, Pro...this weekend is Arctic Thunder at Elmendorf.

And the various jets are practicing out over the city, and some are DIRECTLY over my house. The windows rattle.

The sound of FREEDOM!!!

Yee Haw!--sort of like Wah Hoo!

Wah Hoo--Bill Boyd & His Cowboy Ramblers (1936)

Note the contemporary cultural references, like Prairie Moon and Boop-Bopp-a-Doop.

Crazy Words! Crazy Tune!--Irving Aaronson & His Commanders (1927)

Napoleon marched his men to Waterloo. What did he say to them?
"Vo-do-deo, vo-do-do-deo-do!"
Washington at Valley Forge. Frostbit and cold, and up spoke George:
"Vo-do-do, vo-do-do-deo-do!"
And Simon Legree at Uncle Tom's Cabin. What did he say to Uncle Tom?
I'll tell you what he said. He took his whip and said to Uncle Tom, "come on and Charleston!"
And in the Senate the other day, what did our President Coolidge say?
"Vo-do-do, vo-do-do-deo-do!"

"Hi-Dee-Ho" is kind of like "Yee-Haw."

When he performed "Minnie the Moocher," Cab Calloway asked the audience to repeat what he said during the refrain. I was one of the last audience members to do so when he performed at the Hollywood Bowl in 1991, shortly before he passed away.
