At the least, the kid could see with his drone which roof was empty to shoot from.
And unfortunately, complacency kills.
The government said no such thing...in fact, they were saying this : "Terrorists only have to get lucky once, while the Intel agencies have to be right 100% of the time" to prevent future acts of terror.
"held accountable" is such a mild euphemism.
I would prefer to see public hangings for the perpetrators, broadcast on PPV television channels.

Donald Trump’s campaign reached out to local officials about holding a rally at Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport but had to find another venue after learning an event was already scheduled there for July 13, according to the Butler County Airport Authority’s chairman.
Instead, Trump held his rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds last Saturday...
Mike Walsh, chairman of the Butler County Airport Authority in Penn Township, said Trump’s campaign contacted the authority “about a month and a half ago” with a range of dates organizers were looking at to plan a rally for Trump in the county.
Walsh said that although Trump’s last Butler County rally — which took place at the airport on Oct. 31, 2020 — was well-organized, the airport already had an event scheduled for July 13, the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Mega Cruise.
“We discussed it at a meeting, and basically we knew Penn Township VFC was doing the car cruise,” Walsh said. “The VFC, they protect us; it’s one of their biggest fundraisers. We just couldn’t do it for (Trump’s campaign).”

There are SO many things that are completely sus. When was Dr Jill’s Pittsburgh meeting initially planned and set up? AFTER Trump’s rally north of Pittsburgh was announced? More that just Secret Service needs to be looked into by INCORRUPTIBLE investigators.
So what event was held at the airport on Saturday?

I’m not a subscriber so I couldn’t read the whole thing although I was able to listen and thus get more than the small blurb printed on the webpage. He ran the drone the same day and a few days before the event. I don’t know what time he did it on Saturday.
Drones are a game-changer in the 21st century.

The SS should have a squadron of drones at the ready since it is the cheapest, most effective security for outside events of any kind. They could piggyback procurement on a military drone contract.

Me, you, and humblegunner could have seen that that roof was a glaring threat, and could have climbed up on it, denying the shooter the roof. That the people in charge did not secure it, if only to the point of putting a man with a radio up there, is damning.

My sense is that “encrypted” often refers to communications (such as Proton mail, located in Switzerland) rather than bank accounts, although any data can be encrypted.
The article linked below says, “encrypted sites”, “encrypted platforms” that “Crooks used on his cellphone”, so I think it is encrypted email and/or texts —
