I don't trust anything I hear from the FBI in terms of who did what or their ballistic tests.
The azimuth angles between the two spots (Crooks body and window) should give a pretty accurate representation of which angle could cause the death, injuries, and hydraulic line holes on the speaker lift.
If the angle of attack is clearly from the position of Crooks - then, yes, he was the shooter.
If the angle fits the window position clearly then he wasn't the shooter.
With all of those cameras - why isn't there footage of the actual shooting taking place...
Maybe somebody had it and gave it to the FBI without publishing to the web?

the FBI found a small drone in the gunman’s vehicle, about the size as the ones the Secret Service’s Counter-Surveillance Unit (CSU) sometimes deploys.
The shooter thought to fly his own drone over the site to surveil it. Spent a few hours determining from the drone surveillance his best slope cover for taking the shots. Went into the fairgrounds to scope the layout for purposes of taking the shots. These are actions the secret service should have been taking in prep for the rally., Seems he was better at doing DEI Cheatle’s job than she is?

The plain fact is that there is no current defense against such methods other than massive area jamming that screws up all other communications.
You cannot do this with "a cheap Chicom drone", but a mid-range commercial model is quite capable. The hard part is obtaining a small, light-weight charge of stable explosive.
This won't be credibly explained as a "lone wolf" operation if it happens.
