The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside of the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.
Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according the New York Times.
The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited to assist with those efforts and secure the area outside of the rally.

SS is controlled by Democrats. Democrats called the shots, and they needed Trump taken out because all their other sick attempts failed to neutralize him.
Well it sure wasn’t plain dumb luck that the shooter found the only unguarded rooftop. The SS is just too pathetic with their finger pointing.
The odor of horse exhaust pouring off of this situation is just overwhelming.
Yep. I live in CT and have had Biden or Dr. Jill visit a few times. Local/state PD usually handle things like road closures, traffic and extra eyes on the area outside the USSS perimeter. A family friend was on one of those details on a Clinton or Bush 43 visit.
Even then they had direct contact with some command post or what not, so if they had sometime come up they would radio it and local dispatch AND USSS could hear it talk to them if needed.
In this situation, they may have cleared the roof/area early on, however once someone got on the roof, the snipers were in a much better position to respond than a patrol officer on the ground. Why such a delay occurred in the response is the real question.

When their charge gets fired upon from 150 yards away, the SS are fully to blame. They are in charge & should be assigning any supplemental LE to exact positions with detailed instructions down to knowing who is going to be where at what time. If the counter sniper team(s) truly had eyes on the shooter for 3 minutes waiting for permission to shoot, the person that made those rules of engagement should be brought up on charges. Last night I was of the opinion it was just a major f up by SS, but today I’m not so sure. There are too many coincidences that just don’t add up.
I think you must be thinking of taking responsibility, maybe like a Texas Ranger or someone like that. Instead you've got the Uvalde police taking care of things.
I don't even think they did a good job of surrounding Trump and getting him to safety. Their actions looked lackluster to me for the most part. There were a couple older agents moving much faster than the younger ones who seem to be more concerned about getting their hair mussed.
Trump has too much to do when he is elected. He needs at least a company of axe men to give him some help with the Friday night massacres that need to take place. Besides, officers should only give orders. Non-coms execute them. It takes some people a long time to figure that out without training but when they do things go a lot better if you can get some good subordinates.
If they really said this, the person saying it is utterly incompetent .
Or they have 3rd grade procedures .
They should be in charge of the ENTIRE SITE and perimeter .
I can’t imagine the SS isn’t mostly staffed with really good and smart people .
They HAVE to know how to do this .

I would suspect local LE, even if they had permission to fire were not in a good position for a clear shot or to even see what was exactly going on as they were likely on the ground vs the roof top USSS snipers. They may have been first to know, but the best people to observe and take action were the USSS snipers/commanding officers.
The Secret Service is paid to protect President Trump. Maybe if they didn’t have midget Lady Agents, and incompetents and Biden bootlickers, they could do that.
It was already bad, this makes it worse.
Secret Service is in full damage control mode.
I expect the Investigation will take 6.7 years.
The FBI is investigating.
I can tell you how this turns out.
They used to do that? Do they still? Or do they only make visits if someone threatens a Democrat?
