I admit I was not expecting this response.
The finger pointing has begun.
I guess the local police could say the same.
Lame
It took them 24 hours to figger this out?
Wow, that is a horrible excuse, they want us to believe they leave presidential security to Mayberry’s Barney for anything like a roof beyond 100 yards, WTH!
“The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited...”
The passive voice is really useful for passing the buck. So who did the “tasking” and the “recruiting”? Raise your hand.
Feds throwing the locals under the bus...
“SS says it is not their job to make sure the perimeter is secured.”
The task can be assigned but that does not remove responsibility.
Gugliemi, the white KJP of the SS.
Pissants.
Sorry. The Feds love to throw their weight around in p*ssing contests with the local rubes.
This is a well-known fact.
Classy response. Captured just the tone of every petty bureaucrat that ever slouched the earth.
The finger-pointing has officially begun!
You can just imagine if the locals had tried to tell the SS that it (the SS) was doing it all wrong.
Does either organization have overall responsibility? This should not be a hard question to answer.
There is no blaming the local police, the county sheriff, the state patrol - nobody.
Agreed that those agencies are pathetic in many instances - but the SS has the ultimate responsibility over it all.
They failed spectacularly - or they failed because the replacement SS agents at the event didn't complete their mission of having former President Trump assassinated.
Was that stupid kid recruited? Was he a patsy?
So many questions.
How did the shooter know the roof was not secured?
