Secret Service blames local police, says it was tasked with securing properties surrounding Trump’s Pa. rally

The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside of the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.

Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according the New York Times.

The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited to assist with those efforts and secure the area outside of the rally.

This was definitely a LIHOP hit. Cold-blooded and deliberate. They’re trying to deflect from being accessories to murder by pretending they only committed criminal negligence.

The shooter’s access was meticulously arranged. He was able to climb an unguarded ladder that led to an unguarded sniper perch with a perfect shooting position on Trump. This position seems to have been masked (by a tall tree) from the closest CAT snipers - the ones on the northern roof.

The ladder that the shooter used was in a sort of niche screened by trees. The shooters approach (up this ladder) was screened the whole way in from the car park (by some more trees).

This perfect approach didn’t just happen. It was planned - and it could ONLY have been planned by someone in the SS: who had authority over the site out to a thousand yards. The patsy was briefed on the approach, allowed to take multiple shots and then eliminated.

In the event: the public spotted the shooter and were yelling about it for several minutes before the shooting started. There was ample, excessive warning of jeopardy: but the SS did nothing. LIHOP again.

That ladder is material evidence in a murder investigation, and it’s large enough to be seen from space. Any competent investigation back-tracks it.

Absurd. I’ve seen the SS come in and essentially take over, telling the local authorities what to do, even though they don’t actually have that authority. So we’re supposed to believe that if the local yokels came up with a completely inadequate plan, the SS would just say, “Sure, whatever. Not our problem.”?

Was there a miscommunication? The ROEs of the locals were apparently dictated by the SS. I can understand that the SS might want prior notice of any shots friendlies might take, but it does set up a potential for imperiling their primary charge. Keep in mind that we could be discussing this while funeral arrangements were being made for DJT, and who-knows-what else going on in the country. Riots? Potential martial law declaration?

Said he had him in the scope for three minutes, waiting fir permission to fire. I’ve also heard that local LE had ROEs that forbade firing until shots were fired. = SOME KIND OF CRIME HERE.

Also, this “elite force” was pretty bare-bones, I gather, with some of DJT’s usual people being siphoned off for Jill Biden’s appearance in Pittsburgh. There was certainly a number sufficient to surround DJT, but clearly there weren’t agents and SS snipers doing over-watch. Also, I don’t know if any of them drew weapons. How were they to know that the threat was ended? Certainly there have been no images such as from the attempt on President Reagan’s life.
