MILWAUKEE — In the hours after a would-be assassin fired a bullet through former President Donald Trump’s ear, Panfilo DiCenzo, a 40-year-old Democratic voter from Pittsburgh, drew a simple conclusion about the political effect of the attack: “It definitely is good for Trump.”
At a time when President Joe Biden has been struggling to shore up support with fellow Democrats following a miserable June debate performance and shaky cleanup effort, some professional Democratic political operatives said Saturday’s shooting will end up sealing the incumbent’s electoral fate.
“We’re so beyond f---ed,” one longtime Democratic insider said, noting that the image of Trump thrusting his fist in the air, with blood dramatically smeared across his face, will be indelible.
“The presidential contest ended last night,” said a veteran Democratic consultant.
“Now it’s time to focus on keeping the Senate and trying to pick up the House,” he said. “The only positive thing to come out of last night for Democrats is we are no longer talking about Joe Biden’s age today.”
One Democratic strategist who has worked on multiple presidential campaigns and on Capitol Hill said that the physical targeting of Trump robs Biden of his main argument against the former president. Biden, the strategist pointed out, has tried to convince voters that Trump is so extreme that he presents a threat to democracy.
“That message is dead,” the strategist said.

Trump is now likely well beyond the fraud margin in PA, MI, WI, GA, and AZ. And can likely pick up NH, NJ, NV, MN, all of ME, and maybe even OR.
“I was made aware of a post made by a staff member and she is no longer in my employment,” Thompson said.
The post, which has since been deleted but has spread on X, said, “I don’t condone violence but get you some shooting lessons so you don’t miss next time.”
Thompson is the lead Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee and he chaired the special House committee that investigated Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

A magazine made a picture of Trump morphed into Hitler. Waters said Trump was a threat.
All of them parroted “existential threat” as a reason to “stop” Trump.
Biden in Michigan: Biden said another four years of Trump would be “deadly serious.”
So they tried cancelling, smearing, cheating, impeachments, false charges, jail threats, dog whistles, and the next step in this horrible timeline was this incident. They deserve to lose the election.
The Dems fret because negative attack ads, the most effective ads, will not be effective and backfire.
What messages? That Trump is an existential threat to democracy who will destroy America and install himself as dictator for life?
After they all spent the weekend wishing him well on Twitter?

Knowing the Democrats, though, they might be accepting of a Trump victory now, but you can be sure they will oppose every move he makes in his new administration and will probably keep making up false scandals and criminal charges against his staff.
The message was all projection. No wonder they are dropping, they know they cant win.
Will he be flanked in dark devil red and the military in his unifying speech, like the one in 2022?
So does their friendly neighborhood media. That’s why they are thrashing about claiming it was staged and didn’t happen, blaming Trump and his supporters, promoting gun control, hiding and minimizing details, omitting Democrat lunacy, and changing the subject entirely. They want a smorgasbord for their fiends and fools.
